The Avent Isis Manual Breast Pump is a wonderful product for pumping Moms. The cushioned flange is exceptionally comfortable compared to those of other brands/manufacturers and the pump is altogether more efficient than any of the other manual pumps I tried. This pump was used as a supplemental pump to breastfeeding and pumping with a dual electric pump initially. It is compact and well packaged to make it easy to take with you. I would even bring it along in the car as a backup in the event I had issues with my electric pump such as running out of battery power or no access to an outlet for the adapter. After my second pregnancy I had to wait for several weeks before insurance finally sent an electric pump and I used this single manual Avent Isis exclusively until it arrived. I was amazed what an excellent job it did as a "full-time" pump in lieu of a double electric. Certainly it took longer having to pump one breast at a time and there was the manual squeezing of the trigger, but this manual pump worked far better than a Medela electric I borrowed in hopes of using it before my Avent Isis double electric arrived. I recommend this pump to all of my Mom friends and stand by the fact that it is the best available and worked exceptionally well for me. Parts are east to obtain, as needed, and although all pumps have lots of pieces to assemble, disassemble and clean, this pump offers a pretty simple setup.
