Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads —

Quick View: When I first started using these pads, I didn't like them. They left my dry skin tight and drier than before. But, slowly, I started to actually prefer using these pads over my usual cleansers when I was rushed or wanted a really deep cleansing. Now, I keep Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads around all the time. They're not my only face wash by any means but they are growing on me!

About Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads

These pads come in a plastic tub, each containing 28 pre-moistened pads. Not just pre-moistened, they're wet. You don't need to rinse your face before using these pads. They are BIG. They're three inches around and have a textured side for exfoliating and a smooth side for simple cleansing. They foam up like crazy and remove dirt, oil, make up, and even dead skin cells. The cleanser rinses off clean with no residue.

When I first tried Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads, I liked how clean my face was but not how tight and dry it felt. I rarely used the pads. Then one day I saw the container and used a pad again and liked how deep down clean my face felt. Yes, it still felt tight but I always use moisturizer after cleansing.

These pads are soap and oil free, hypoallergenic, and will not clog pores. They're so thick and large that I almost hate to throw the pad away after just one use. Some people cut the pads in half and others rinse them and use them again with other cleansers or scrubs. I toss them but I use the extra cleanser on the pad to exfoliate my hands before I feel justified in throwing a pad away.

The pads are in a broth of cleanser and natural soy, which is said to make skin more radiant. I have to admit that my face does look brighter and freshly scrubbed after I use Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads. I haven't had any breakouts or problems with these pads and they're really convenient when I am in a rush. Although I still like some other cleansers better, I am starting to become addicted to these pads!

My Viewpoint

At about $7.00 per tub, you get almost a month of twice daily cleansing. I don't know why Aveeno chose to put 28 pads in the tub instead of 30. These are great for controlling bacteria since they're one use pads and they have plenty of cleanser on them so you will never need a second one to do the job. In fact, I find there is so much cleanser on the pads that I can cleanse my face, neck, chest, and hands and STILL have more left over. The pads are very durable and thick and never tear. These are great for travel and for everyday. I don't use them everyday but I find myself reaching for Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads more often than usual lately. 4 stars.

LOL, right. Tight is bad. Firm is good. :)

Jason is hit and miss for me. I like the Jason shampoo and conditioner I tried but didn't like the eye cream. It rolled off in little pills. I won't chance buying the cleansing pads.

You should see the pads!!! They're gross after you use them because they show all the junk that was on your face. I almost hate to look but then again, I'm glad it's on the pad and no longer on my face. I tried Dove (??) cleansing pillows (I think it was Dove) and I didn't like the little pillows. Not enough cleanser and too small. I just ordered another container of these and one of their Simply Ageless pads as well. I never tried those so I wanted to see if they would be better for my old skin.

We like firm not tight. Tight means dry and stressed skin. Firm means no jowls. lol. I like makeup pads/wipes for now and then but I like to deep down clean my face before I apply my creams and stuff. I have so many cleansers its crezy but I really am obsessive. I am determined to try everything!

These are really great for camping and stuff because you really can use a couple of the pads for the whole body. They're palm sized and filled with cleanser and you can exfoliate your body as well as cleanse. Body and face cleanser all in one little tub!

Glad to find another review like this. I tend to lean toward things I can use on my body too---just in case I'm stranded somewhere and need a fast clean up, but I might have to give these a try. I tend to get into things where I need to have portable hygeine products, such as long bike trips, camping, and some really grungy gardening. I used to be a volunteer firefighter too, and these would have been great after long calls. Of course nothing much works better than a shower with something like that. I always want to be clean-

I thought ladies would want a more tighter face as they get older. Hmm...I just love the Aveeno products but I still prefer the Walmart Equate makeup remover pads. The last time I needed some though they were sold out of the refill packages. ~Gigi ♫

I've been using the Dove Cleansing Pads and Olay Cleansing Pads. I switch between the two depending who has them on sale or I have a coupon. I haven't tried Aveeno Cleansing Pads, but was wondering how clean it got your face. Thanks for the info. :-)

Nice review! Whatever you do, don't use the JASON cleansing pads that are all natural. They leave a residue on your face - yuck!
