Being always on a quest to find that perfect shampoo to moisturize my dry, damaged hair, I do not let go of any opportunity to try my hands on any samples available. That was how I came across this totally wonderful Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring shampoo. It came along with it's conditioner and Damagr Remedy treatment lotion. The shampoo sample lasted me 3 washes. Since I have had this dry, flaky scalp and dull and damaged hair, I was looking for a shampoo that can do it all, from moisturizing the scalp to strengthening the hair. Aveda damage remedy shampoo surely helped me with some. It must have some conditioning properties as well, because my hair looked so shiny and bright after every wash, even though I wasn't using any conditioner (I ran out of sample after first wash itself). My hair looked so full and voluminous. After I was out of the free sample I bought the bottle of shampoo and a conditioner from the store along with 2 more products that goes with this treatment, but I do not use it anymore since my main problem of dandruff was not being subsided using this product as well. Overall, this shampoo is really the best one out there for someone with dry and damaged hair, though a little pricey, but it delivers results!

Our local salon uses these products and we absolutely love them! I like how this shampoo really livens your hair and scalp and the scent really ingiorates the rest of your body. I think the use of this shampoo is one of my top favorite things about going to our salon. I think the only downfall is the price. But, when we do splurge and purchase this Aveda shampoo, we really really enjoy it! Effectiveness My hair seems to get used to the normal shampoos that I buy. When I do splurge and purchase this Aveda Damage Remedy Shampoo it is so worth the cost. I don't know how else to explain it but to say it totally livens up every strand of my hair. Even my scalp says "Ahhh!" Scent I love the scent. The scent alone can really make you feel so much better. My hair and I both have an extra 'pep in our step'. I really like that this shampoo is very gender neutral. I like that my husband and I can both use it without anyone feeling odd. Great product!

Aveda is expensive, but some of their products are just worth it. This is one of them. I color my roots every 6 to 8 weeks with a boxed product, and with fine hair, that can be a lot of damage. I used this for several weeks last summer and was really pleased with how my hair turned out. I can't think of hair more susceptible to products put in it than mine. My family will notice right away if I've switched to a product that wasn't good for my hair. I have fine hair, tends to be on the dry side because of some natural curl, and not a lot of it. It's pretty hair with a lot of body, though, and if I treat it right, it turns out fabulously. I switch up shampoos and conditioners every 4 weeks, but I make sure to rotate this Aveda damage one in more often than other ones I use. It's more effective if used several times so it can help your hair heal. I'm not one for hair dryers, straighteners and curling irons, and that makes a difference in keeping my hair healthy, too. If you've been rough on your hair and it's showing, splurge and use this. You'll go through about half the bottle, then put it away for later when your hair needs a good dose of healing again. Scent Because it can be harmful, I'd rather not smell anything in my products. That's what perfume is for.

I started using Aveda Damage Remedy after it was recommended for me by my hair stylist at an Aveda salon. The Damage Remedy series is designed for those who have hair weakened by chemical processes, heat styling, and environmental exposure. Basically, it was made for someone like me-with very highlighted hair who blow-drys it all the time. This is the daily shampoo-the Damage Remedy series also has intensive conditioners. As a daily shampoo, it cleanses well and leaves my hair feeling well-conditioned. It really does leave hair soft and easy to detangle. It works great with the Damage Remedy Restructuring Conditioner and the Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment. However, it leaves my fine hair very limp. As a result, I use it about once a week and right after I get my hair highlighted. If I want my hair to have volume, this is not the shampoo to use.

I love Aveda products! I love everything about them from the fact that they are eco friendly, natural products, to the amazing smell. But the best part about them is that they really work as promised. I've tried several Aveda shampoos, conditioners, treatments, and styling products, and Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo is no exception. I have fine hair, but a lot of it, so it can tend to get big and frizzy. I generally like to use a volumizing product, but i like to use this shampoo about once a week to keep my hair in great shape. It delivers shine and body, an seems to be making my hair stronger. This is designed as a daily shampoo, and it helps repair damage with quinoa protein, coconut and babassu, but I seem to have better luck using it once a week as it can weigh my fine hair down just a bit.The shampoo is part of a three-step restructuring system - shampoo, conditioner, and treatment which together help hair weakened by chemical processes, heat styling and environmental exposure. All in all, this is a great, general daily / weekly shampoo for most hair types. Be aware that this is a low lather shampoo because it apparently has low sulfates. This doesn't mean it is any less effective at cleansing your hair, and you definitely don't need to shampoo twice. Its just a very gentle cleansing.

I have used Aveda products for as long as I can remember. Growing up my best friends family owned a salon and Aveda is the only product they sale there!  All Aveda products work wonders!  This particular Damage Remedy Shampoo is amazing for restoring hair to make it healthy and beautiful!  After I dye my hair I use this product to make sure that my hair doesn't dry out or fade from the recent damage I caused to it.  This shampoo is also great if you use a hot iron and blow dryer frequently as it helps to keep your hair moisurized and smooth.  I have naturally curly hair and this product helps keep frizziness at bay!  The downside to Aveda is the overwhelming smells!  It smells like plants of some sort, it's not a light smell and it does last with you forever!  Even when using other brands of Mousse, Hairspray etc. this product still finds it way through the other products.  I wouldn't say that the smell is bad, just strong and persistant!

This is a great shampoo to keep on hand in the summer time!  I highlight my hair and spend many hours out in the sun which leads to sometimes crispy hair that lacks shine.  I moved to Tallahassee to attend school at Florida State University, and until then, I had never heard of Aveda.  A friend mentioned that we actually have an Aveda Institute in town where you can go and have a student do your hair for a low price.  What a blessing!  This place is great, plus you get to sample their wonderful products.  One of the girls I worked with recommended this for my hair care to-do list!  It is great to un-do any damage that has already been done to your hair, however, I would not recommend this as an everyday shampoo.  It does weigh down your hair if you use it everyday.  I usually include this shampoo into my hair care routine once or twice a week, depending on how rough I have been on it that week.  This product, along with every other Aveda product smells WONDERFUL!

Aveda Damage Remedy in my oppion is NOT worth the cost! I'm not cheap, I use the most expensive and best hair tools and product but this one didn't seem worth it! first off aveda could really start making their products smell a little better! I use Milk-Shake and it's an all natural product line from Italy and smells ten times better then Aveda! first off it was WAY to heavy of a shampoo and conditioner. my hair had no life after washing a couple days with the Damage Remedy. I know cause it's for damaged hair it's suppose to be very conditioning but once again other natural and non-natural products that are for damaged hair don't weigh down like this Aveda product does. it's also hard to get out of the bottles cause it's way to thick! it does a good quick one day only use fix, but for a long term shampoo and conditioner I think there are much better ones out there for a little cheaper or even a little more money if money isn't the option and you just care about great not just good hair products like me!

Oh i love all of AVEDA's products, especially this and the heat protectant. If anyone knows about natural hair then you know its hard to keep it moisturized. THIS SHAMPOO DOES THAT!! And much more. If you have messed  up your hair, use this and it will make the biggest difference. Also, many shampoos will strip the hair, not this. Aveda works well and was recommended to me by some friends. Besides natural hair, you can also use this with any hair type. Some of my friends in college of different ethnical backgrounds have said how amazing this product is. So really this is a rare gem, I would suggest everyone taking the time to try it. I will say my one con is the price. I am always saying that I would buy this more often if it was cheaper, but its not. Still, i would recommend looking for samples, or buying this on a whim. Its worth the money, and conditions amazingly. It gives shine, and bounce.

I have been coloring my air for years.  I like keeping my hair shoulder length, and are constantly faced with my hair drying out and becoming unmanageable.  I started using Aveda's Restructurcting Shampoo and was completely imressed with the results.  My hair looks and feels like it did before I started coloring it. You know the 'bounce and shine' are back. It was like I added years back to my hair!  Aveda is awesome, and I love the way my hair smells too.
