My favorite Aveda product by far. I have always looked for a mask that would take out all my impurities and that is exactly what this mask does. Like I said, a little goes a long way. When using this mask, you do not want to cake a lot on. If too much is applied then it will not do an efficient job at pulling out all dead skin and clean your pores. On top of that, the product is all nature with not artificial chemicals in it. You will finish with your face feeling smooth and brand new! Effectiveness Making sure you apply a thin layer or mask directly onto skin is very important. Immediate result can be noticed at the touch of your skin once rinsed off. Ease of Application dispensing clay mask into hand and applying thin layer to face in circular motions. Do not get into eyes or it will burn Scent The clay mask has a weird scent. I don't was to say like dirt because it isn't that bad. But it does not have a perfumey scent at all.

If you've ever experienced a facial for oily or problem skin at an Aveda Institute, then chances are you've tried the **Aveda Deep Cleansing Herbal Clay Masque**. Made from various forms of clay, the masque absorbs excess oils and draws impurities from skin. Easy to use-I mix this with a drop of Aveda Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant to use as a face mask. When it dries after about 10 to 15 mins, I simply remove it with a warm washcloth. And it works! My skin looks better after I use it. I've been using it regularly, about once a week, to clear up my skin. If I'm having a problem week with breakouts then I use it two or three times a week. The only problem-the ingredients. I've been making an effort to use more all-natural products. One would assume that Aveda, whose slogan is The Art and Science of Pure Flower and Plant Essences, would be all natural. Instead, this masque has questionable ingredients like Parabens and Disodium EDTA in it.
