The Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo is fantastic!  It makes my hair feel great, helps keep my color true and smells heavenly.  Each time I use it, I am reminded of a spa.  Since my memories are smell induced, each use makes me instantly relax.  I don't use it every day but each time I do, it is a treat.

Aveda's Color Conserve shampoo costs around $14 for a 12 oz bottle. The purpose of this shampoo is to maintain your highlights a bit longer so that you don't have to frequent the salon for touch-ups. But I'm not really sure how effective it really is in prolonging my highlights. It's a little bit pricer than your usual shampoo. When I first open the bottle, it has a nice smell, a very typical Aveda smell, a sort of minty smell. When you add water, it lathers up nicely. It is somewhat drying so using a conditioner is a must after using this shampoo. I've been using this shampoo for many years now....

Aveda Color Conserve shampoo is natural and organic. It has a pleasant light scent and is not tested on animals. My color always last much longer when I use this product. In addition it leaves my hair hydrated. This shampoo even works well on non color treated hair. I have tried cheaper brands of shampoo but they really dry my hair out or I have to use lots of conditioner. With Aveda Color Conserve my hair is not too heavy but it does stay moisturized.
