This air purifier works wonders especially for those with indoor and pet allergies. My husband and I purchased this air purifier after we were first married. I had two cats which he was allergic to and he also had other indoor allergies. He had terrible allergy symptoms including terrible nasal congestion and he snored terribly at night due to being congested. An hour after we first plugged this air purifier in, he noticed a difference. This really did work to clean the air in our home. A huge plus is that this air purifier is on rollers and can easily be moved from room to room. We would wheel it all around the house. Just with the air purifier on alone he experienced relief from his allergies. This air purifier is quiet and even though it takes up some room, it is attractive. Dust/Allergen Removal This air purifier works wonders at removing dust and pet dander from the air. We also lived in Los Angeles when we purchased this and the air in L.A. is not the cleanest. I noticed an immediate change in the quality of the air in our home after using this air purifier. Filter Availability This filter is very easy to find online. It lasts for years so only purchase one at a time. Durability This is a very durable air purifier. It is built to last and is very sturdy. It also comes on wheels so it can easily be moved. Effectiveness This air purifier is extremely effective at cleaning the air in large rooms. I noticed a change in the quality of the air in our home after an hour of use. My husband, who has terrible allergies, also noticed a change and as a result has less allergy symptoms.

This purifier is great. Within 15 minutes of turning it on the air in our home feels fresh and you can breath so much better. We use this in our sons room at night, which is great for white noise and of course to make sure he breaths purified air throughout the night. I highly recommend it. Ease of Maintenance One of the easiest to maintain on the market. We have had ours for over 2 years and no filter is needed yet. The filter is pro-rated to last 5 years. This is one of the main reasons we bought this model because unlike other models, you do not have to replace a filter every 6 months, let alone, every year. Dust/Allergen Removal Does great job. Less dust in the rooms we run it. Filter Availability Filter can be purchases easily online and is prorated for 5 years! Durability Build is solid. We wheel it from room to room and have had no issues. Effectiveness Greatly enhances our breathing. We notice a difference within minutes. Design Design is simple. It is fairly large but for us it is not a big deal. We live in a small apartment and it comes in cool colors as well.

I bought this machine after seeing a demo at the Green Depot.  Within days I can see the difference in my air quality.  I used to wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air.  And I would sneeze throughout the day if I stay at home.  After I had the Austin HealthMate Plus, I noticed that I barely sneeze anymore.  I had pets at home, so sometimes I will still have allergic reaction, but a lot less.  I usually leave it on at high for couple hours before I go to bed.  And then turn it to medium or low.  Pros : It works.  No need to replace filter annually (only once every 5 years according to the manual).  Stylish.  I can push it around the house easily.  Cons: Expensive. Loud when you turn it on high.  No indicator on the filter to tell you when you need to change them.  A little heavy, so you really should get the model with wheels if you choose to move it around.  And manual doesn't tell you exactly what they can filter.
