Drying.

3

The reason why I do not like this gel is because it dries out the ends of my long hair. When I wash it out and my hair dries, I can tell that this drew moisture from my hair. It is great for styling though. I enjoy using this to enhance my waves. To make it not as drying, I water it down. It is a pretty thick gel and still works great and keeps the waves in all day. I have worn tight hats and the waves still stay in and do not budge. It does not weigh my hair down either. If I use too much, it does get really crunchy and hard though. It keeps little hairs that stick out down if I brush it through and smooth it down. It also keeps my baby hair straighter and not as curly if I apply this when it is wet. It helps keep frizz away, even in humid weather. I have to keep my hair away from my face when wearing this. I used this in my bangs and the gel had contact with my face. It broke my cheeks and forehead out in little pimples.

Best gel I have found for my curls

5

This is a great gel for curly hair that, when used correctly, results in perfect frizz free curls. It has a thick consistency so I have to warm it up between my hands for a bit in order to make it workable. If you place the container in the shower it is a bit easier because then the tub is pre-warmed. I have found that this only works when applied to sopping wet hair. So I scrunch is into my soaked hair, then squeeze out the excess, blot with a tee shirt, then blow dry with my diffuser. Since it is a strong hold gel, it is important to scrunch out the crunch after my hair is completely dry, otherwise it has a wet crunchy look that I really do not like. But once my hair is all dry and scrunched out, it looks amazing! I have also used this on my brothers hair and it worked well, so I think men might also like this product. This is definitely the best at reducing frizz and it makes my curls look smooth and healthy, so it is nearly the perfect gel for me!

A good choice for reducing frizz in curly hair

4

I have long, curly hair that can get a little frizzy, especially on rainy or humid days. I've tried lots of styling products, looking for one that produces defined, smooth curls and doesn't dry my hair further. I didn't have much luck with the alcohol-free products I tried, so I gave in and bought a tube of Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel (which has benzyl alcohol, which -- as it turns out -- is not a drying alcohol). It has worked very well for me, adding shine to my now well-defined curls. That said, I do have two related caveats: (1) it is a very thick gel, which can be hard to work evenly through my hair, so I usually thin it with Infusium 23 Leave-in Treatment (or, failing that, water), and (2) if I get too much in any one place, it can harden and make that part of my hair feel stiff (but, once the gel is thinned, this usually isn't a problem). Also, the gel doesn't have a particularly strong scent, especially once it dries, which is great. Every few months, I experiment with another product, but I always end up coming back to Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel.

Best hair product for scrunching hair!

5

This product is perfect for scrunching my hair. It does not make my hair hard or stiff and it stays in place all day. I use this on my hair when it is wet and then hair spray it with aussie hair spray. Then, I use a diffuser to blow dry my hair which makes it more curly. After I dry it I spray it again with hair spray and viola it's done! I do this to my hair almost every day and I love it. I have tried many other products to scrunch my hair and none of them work as well as this does. Very nice product! I have used many products that make my hair very hard or tangly and I hate when that happens! I really like how this product makes my hair look at the end of the day. My hair goes from being scrunchy to being wavy with slight curls. I use this all the time for a quick and easy hair do that will last me throughout the day with no problems. I would definitely reccomment this product because it works wonders!

Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel works Great!

4

Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel works Great!  I have purchased MANY other hair products to keep my husbands hair in place, but this Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel has been the Only product that my husbands asks for me purchase again (even if it is Not on sale).  My dear husband has short hair that does not always go where he wants it to go, so he uses hair gel to achieve his desired look.  I have purchased different types and brands of hair gel and spray and mousse, but this gel works the best for him.  He says that it works great!  It is not too sticky or greasy.  It leaves his hair looking "natural" (being a guy, he doesn't want his hair to appear that he has spent a lot of time on it).  He squeezes a little dab into his hand and works it into his wet hair after his morning shower.  It dries quickly and he is ready to go to work in no time.  We have tried products that cost more (and products that have cost less), but this product works consistently well for my dear husband.  Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel works Great!

Aussie Instant Freeze is good, but not perfect

4

Since my hair is incredibly curly, there are times when I need to use a gel to hold back all my frizz.  Especially when I'm trying to hold back my hair in a ponytail or a fancy bun hairstyle.  I always use Aussie Instant Freeze because it's affordable and it smells great.  It usually keeps my hair back and in place all day, which is why I continue to use it.  However, it's quite messy to apply.  The gel itself if pretty stick (although that should be an obvious since it is a gel) and tends to make styling my hair a messay encounter.  It's hard to wash off your hands, and it's tedious to have to apply the gel to my hands, rub it into my hair, wash my hands, brush my hair, tie it, the grab more gel, apply it, wash my hands again, and then brush my ponytail.  It would be nice if I could skip washing my hands so often to keep the stickyness from getting all over my sink and my brushes.  It's one of the thing about most gels, and especially this one in particular that makes me lean towards buying hairsprays instead.  But overall, it's a pretty good gel to buy if you're looking for a really cheap gel that'll work pretty well.

Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel is the bomb

5

Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel is my favorite hairgel ever.  I must say that I am a cosmotologist.  So I have easy access to top of the line professional products.  I have used both professional hairgels and non professional hairgels.  Still I have always found myself going right back to Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel.  I have a bit of course grade hair and it is naturally curly.  When styling my hair curly, I enjoy wearing it so that it looks a bit wet but I hate it if it is stiff as a board or hard feeling to the touch.  Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel leaves my hair looking very curly, a little wet but is not stiff at all.  This gel would also be a good gel for both men and women whom enjoy wearing a spiked look.  The smell is fabulous.  I think it smells somewhat like grapes.  The smell remains good throughout the day and the night.  The hold will last all day as well as all night.  I highly recommend this product.

My husband, yes my husband, would be lost without Instant Freeze

*My husband refuses to use any other styling gel. I cannot even convince him to try other Aussie gels! He is not elborately styling his hair as he keeps it really short, but he does style the top bit in sort of a flip. I will say, he is a Paramedic and even after a 12-14 hour shift his hair looks exactly like it did when he left the house that morning. Considering what his job intails this is a HUGE testament for Aussie Instant Freeze Gel!* *It is marked on the bottle that this is the strongest holding gel they have, it maxes out their star rating and when it is dry in the hair the hair is stiff and exactly where you placed it. I think this product would work best in men's hair or in women's hair that is short. I have medium length hair and it more or less clumps up in it and dries stiff. * *The gel works best when put into damp hair. This give you a chance to manipulate the hair and place it exactly where you want it to be. It will dry as the hair does.*

great hold!

5

I have long straight hair that is a little on the thin side so its very hard for my hair to hold a curl!  I've tried quite a few styling products and when I tried this one for the first time two years ago I fell in love with it.  I like to scrunch my hair and because it is long it takes a little while.  When I tried the instant freeze gel I was extremely impressed.  My hair stayed scrunched all day long and it looked great.  My hair is a little on the hard side when I use the gel but it is totally worth it for how it makes my hair look.  With other styling products, my hair starts going back to being straight after an hour or so but this gel keeps my hair scrunched for hours so that is why I will never use another styling product...unless of course this one is discontinued one day.  So if you are wanting something that will give you a maxi hold then you should definitely test out this amazing product.
