On a rainy day on the highway going 65 MPH, my Audi was struck from the side by an out of control Suburban. We nearly tumbled over at the side of the highway into a ravine. But for the all wheel handling and excellent pick up, I'm certain my wife and I would have suffered serious injuries or died. Because we were able to speed up, grabbing traction despite the rainy highway, we were able to pull off the Suburban's bumper while still going 50 MPH and pull ahead enough to avoid being pushed over the side of the highway by the much bigger vehicle. The safety equipment in the car and its engine and handling saved our lives. My insurance company (Chubb) paid for the entire cost of the car. And I immediately went to the same Audi dealer and told them to give me another of exactly the same car.
Interior is extremely well put together. Lots of controls but easy to understand and learn. Good storage compartments, including huge trunk. Excellent radar for backing up. I wish it had a camera the way the Acura MDX does. My only real complaint is that the GPS/navigation system requires dialing around to punch in addresses. They should put in a touch screen for typing. Also, it's a large car, so think twice if you're a city dweller in a busy metropolis.
Safest, most well appointed car I've ever owned.
