Aubrey Organics Collagen TCM Therapeutic Cream Moisturizer Review

During the harsh winter months, I will often use high end anti aging skin products to keep myself from feeling really down when the weather brings skin through a lot of punishment.  The problem, however, is that the high performance face products like those from DIOR, LANCOME, and a few others I have tried all have skin bleaching agents in them (hence the SPF in many to counteract that- although few will admit it).

I love the results that I get from Absolue Bx from Lancome, Capture R60/80 from Dior and some other wonderful facial creams that are anti aging.   The downside is that they will bleach the skin making the skin very susceptible to sun damage.

I do not burn in the sun naturally, but if I happen to be using the high performance anti aging products that *Brighten skin* up until I go out in the sun, I end up with bad burning where the skin products have been and nowhere else.  I have to stop using these products for at least a week or two before going back into the spring sun.

WHAT IS COLLAGEN TCM THERAPEUTIC MOISTURIZER LIKE?

COLLAGEN TCM (the TCM is what the THERAPEUTIC COLLAGEN MOISTURIZER acronym is about) from AUBREY ORGANICS is an excellent moisturizer.  It is oil free.  A pearlescent cream that is extremely light, AUBREY ORGANICS TCM is an interesting facial cream.  After being used to the very heavy emollient creams of the winter, TCM seems almost so light that it won't do anything!

However, that can fool you.  The TCM cream goes right into the skin with no oily or greasy residue at all.  In fact it goes into the skin so intenesly that it is kind of startling.  The results are smoother and softer skin with a slight lift to it.  Despite it having natural grain alcohol in it, I have had no problems at all from this cream and I tend to have more sensitive skin.

MY COMMENTS

AUBREY ORGANICS does not use chemicals in their products.  They don't use parabens, chemicals and other questionable ingredients in their products.  Most of their products are vegan, but TCM is not one of them.  They do not test on animals, however.

TCM comes in an upside down bottle with a flip up top.  For 2oz of product the price is around $13.  I have found that a bottle of TCM will easily last me from April to October of a year, and I tend to use it almost daily.

Since discovering LORAC AQUAPRIME Makeup Primer, I have found that using that first and putting AUBREY ORGANICS TCM over it makes a dynamic duo.  It really does bring youth to the face and make the skin look quite nice.

I sometimes will supplement a few times a month with LAMAS BEAUTY VITAL C Cream (which I will be reviewing soon as well) for an extra boost.  For the bright days of summer, however, AUBREY ORGANICS TCM cream has been a fabulous help.  It does not have any bleaching agents in it so my face is well able to endure the busy days in the gardens without the struggles that high end beauty creams cause.

INGREDIENTS

AUBREY ORGANICS COLLAGEN TCM cream is all natural and is not tested on animals.  It contains:

Coconut Fatty Acid Crea, Natural Grain Alcohol (their site has information on how this is different than many alcohols if you want to read about that), Organic Aloe Vera, Vegetable Glycerine, Soluble Collagen, Hydrolized Elastin from US Bovine sources, Allantoin (from Comfrey), Oak Musk Oil, Aubrey;s Preservative (Citrus Seed Extract, Vit A, C & E).

Aubrey Organics does specify that this product is not vegan since it has elastin from bovine sources in it, I am assuming from dairy, but not sure.
