This moisturizer is fabulous. I have been using this product for approximately 8-9 months now. It is extremely moisturizing. My face doesn't always absorb it well, but it certainly moisturizes well, so I really cannot complain. In addition, it does not irritate my skin. It's very difficult to find a moisturizer that provides great moisturizing benefits to my skin without me reacting to it in some way (usually redness, bumps, itching/burning). That's why it will remain a staple. However; since I feel like it doesn't absorb well, I will probably continue to explore other options, but will always keep this around because it gets the job done! The size is kind of small and expensive, but the good thing is that it really lasts a long time. I've been using the same container for about 6 months (at least once a day), and it is just now running low. Update: I began reacting to this product, so I no longer use it. It's still a great moisturizer, but it may cause reactions.

The MLE in the name refers to how this formula mirrors the skin structure in a way that helps skin replenish lost moisture and restore it's own protective barrier. In addition to being a face cream, it's suitable to use as a treatment for rosacea, dry patches, and flaking skin. While I would never use Atopalm MLE on my face (because I have oily skin), I would definitely keep it on hand to combat dry elbows, irritated skin, or the occasional skin rash. Effectiveness One day, I was going to put a little hydrocortisone on a small rash on my leg, but decided to try the Atopalm MLE instead. The irritated skin felt better immediately and I no longer felt the urge to scratch. This allowed the area to heal more quickly. I was honestly impressed that Atopalm MLE worked as well as it did, as fast as it did, with such a small amount. Plus, it didn't cause the discomfort that hydrocortisone sometimes can. Ease of Application The cream was thick, but not greasy, and it absorbed surprisingly quickly You have to keep the lid on tightly because it also has a tendency to dry out when exposed to air. Scent There are absolutely no irritating fragrances in this product; nor does it have a medicinal smell.

As someone with very sensitive and very dry skin, I've made my way around the moisturizer circles. Also, I have excema and am prone to redness and other forms of irritation and have tried prescription medication. Of all the facial moisturizers I've tried, this Atopalm MLE moisturizing cream is by far the best. My mom gave me a sample when I was visiting for the winter holidays, and I'd purchased a full-sized tub before I even got on the plane to come back home! The amazing thing about this moisturizer is that it manages to provide intensive moisture therapy without leaving an oily residue on the skin. My face is prone to peeling all year round, but particularly in the winter (wind, heater, etc). This moisturizer prevents peeling, but it also doesn't make it look like I'd just slathered my face all over with moisturizer (which I usually do). Even one application (particularly overnight) will show results. I haven't noticed much difference in terms of reducing redness and tightening skin, but the product claims to help on these fronts as well.

We got a sample of this moisturizer with one of our drugstore.com orders. I'd never heard of it before and probably never would have bought it, but I figured why not give it a try with a free sample. My husband has problems with eczema inside his ears, and it drives me nuts how he's always scratching inside his ears, so I told him to try it out. He's tried other stuff before, but most eczema lotion isn't really meant to be put inside your ears, so he's never really found something that works. This does, however! His ears aren't itching anymore (except when he forgets to use it for a few days), and he said it feels fine applying it (not nasty, gunky like putting lotion in your ears). I have no idea how much it costs, though the other reviews said it was expensive. But even though we're really frugal, I'm still going to buy it when the sample runs out because it's the only thing he's found so far that works.
