Atlantis is a beautiful resort that is like staying in a giant aquarium.  They have six different properties within the resort, we stayed in the Royal Towers.  The rooms are your average hotel room - nothing spectacular, but you're not coming here to stay in your room.

What makes this resort so beautiful...

My husband and I went to Atlantis last year for his Birthday.   The hotel grounds are very beautiful but our room was just average and not worth what they charged per night.  My husband says he will never go back because every thing was so over priced and the employees were not at all friendly. ... read full review »

This was my second trip to Atlantis.  My husband and I went in March of 2006.  We had a nightmare traveling to get there.  I had booked our trip online and took one of the flight schedules offered from the Atlantis website, and it was Spring Break!  Big Mistake!  This year, I took my daughter and son-in-law and my two grandchildren, and made sure to book my flight separeately.  I booked the room online at www.atlantis.com.  We were able to get one room for all five of us because my youngest grandchild is 3, so they allowed five people to one room under those circumstances.  I also booked...

By now, just about everyone in the US must have heard about The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Practically taking over all of Paradise Island, the resort is an architectural marvel - truly, a sight to see.

Atlantis is most famous for its walls of aquariums, with sharks, manta rays, grouper and tropical fish lazily swimming by gawking tourists. These gigantic fish tanks literally make up the walls of much of The Atlantis Resort. Children and adults alike are amazed.

The Ruins Lagoon, in the most upscale Royal Towers hotel area, is just one of six huge aquariums at The Atlantis. Here, a visitors...

We loved the Royal Towers at Atlantis and were right in the middle of everything.  But it is very hot there in mid-May and it is so huge that your feet get tired from walking.  If you don't mind the main pool outside of the towers being very crowded it is not so bad but we liked the smaller, secluded pools that had less people at them.

The casino is nice and the food is great.  I loved the fried conch that they served poolside.  It is a great vacation for families with teens but I would not take younger children or children who not in strollers due to the great distance between places.

The rooms...

I went with my boyfriend to Atlantis for a week, and it was a bit more than we typically pay for a vacation.  The location was amazing, as were the pools and the aquariums, but I was disappointed that he was afraid to ride the slides.  We had one nice meal in the seafood restaurant, but the food was underwhelming at best!  If you go to the Bahamas, I still think this is a great place to stay.  Although the casino was tight, it was still fun!  The décor throughout the hotel is amazing!!  Just be careful about how much money you spend!  I highly recommend the conch fritters at the little... read full review »

This place was absolutely gorgeous. I've been there 3 times. I love the atmosphere, the staff and the pools. What I could not care for was a $10 hot dog or there's not too much club activity for young adults or much for teenagers to do at night. Other than that, it was romantic, fun, relaxing. I loved the bars being next to each of the pools.

This place was beautiful - lots to do, several places to swim and enjoy water activites, and it's right on the beach.  Transportation is easily obtained via taxis to take you to other places on the island.  Rooms are clean and most offer a good view.
