I recently got the ASUS Netbook PC because my desktop PC's motherboard died on me.  I got ASUS because I was told it is the same on the inside as Intel's computers are but at a fraction of the price.  The price I paid was very reasonable for a fast PC.  I would recommend this laptop to anyone.  I love the full numberpad on the side of the keyboard.  I also like how the keys on the keyboard stick up to accomodate my long fingernails (believe me, it is hard to type on normal keyboards because my nails are always hitting the other keys!)  The sound/speakers of the computer aren't that great, but I rarely use them anyway.  This computer is fast especially since I do a lot with high resoultion photographs and photoshop with no problems at all.  The mousepad is somewhat difficult to use - for example, I cannot get the scroll bar option to work at all, but my husband can.  So instead I use an external mouse.

I've not had a laptop before until this ASUS. I'm very happy with it and we've had for over a year now. It's lightweight, it's durable, it's easy to use, and it's great for what I need. The only downside, so far, that I've found is that the speakers are on the underside so I've had to buy speakers and plug them to be able to hear. This is not a big deal; however, it doesn't work well when you need to use this laptop in the car or some place where the noise level is high. You must have speakers if you want to hear. That is the only downside that I've been able to find with this computer. I love that the keyboard is a full one and it's big enough to have a full numbers keyboad off to the right of the computer! All in all, a great buy! The price was awesome!

Asus Netbook: Awesome battery life We bought this netbook really just because it was on sale. We wanted to try it out and see if it would be a good fit for us. It has consistently amazed us with its features. To begin with it has a 6 cell battery which gives it upwards of 6 hours of battery life. The screen size at 10 inches is decent enough, but i doubt those with glasses or prone to eye strain really being able to use it for long periods of time. It comes with a 250gb hard drive and a 1gb memory stick. I would certainly advice to upgrade the RAM to a 2GB stick. It is of type DDR2 800Mhz and you can buy it from newegg or ewiz. It does make a good difference when u do that. The windows 7 operating system is good enough, but not blazingly fast due to the Atom processor. dont expect to do major compiling work or watch high definition videos since it doesnt have the processing power to do so. It is perfect for basic internet surfing, catching up on email or social networking. A good alternative to presently expensive tablets.
