I've tried a lot of the rub on pain relievers throughout the years and have never really found any to be better than the others I can't say I have ever noticed any real effects from any of them. I do continue to try different products often just in case they do come up with something that works. I have had a few that seemed like they almost work but the Aspercreme Pain Relieving Creme wasn't one of these. This product didn't really seem to do anything at all except leave my skin greasy. I didn't like it at all and feel as though I was scammed for buying it. I had seen a lot of other reviews of the product singing it's praises but I must have a different system than most of these people because i saw no effect whatsoever from the use of this product. I wouldn't use nor buy this product ever again, I feel that it is completely useless and a waste of time and money. I have had some of my friends tell me they have received some benefit of using the product long term but I will never know if that is true since I want use a product that doesn't show an immediate effect.

I have used this product extensively since an auto wreck in 1997. While it is not always a pain reliever, it does an excellent job in warming up my back and hip muscles when winter time rolls around and the cold makes movement an uncomfortable choice for me. I used BenGay before that for any aches and pains but the smell was a big drawback. Aspercreme spares you the embarrassment of having everyone know you are in muscle pain.

I don't know what it is about this product that seems to do the trick for me when it comes to pain. This product works best for me when I use it on my lower back, as for some reason it does not work on any other area of my body. I begin using this product a long, long time ago and I have been using this stuff ever since that time. Even though I have used other products in the past and even recently, I always seem to revert back to using this product, specifically for back pain. It deserves an 8 rating for that reason. It is not sticky feeling on my skin and does not leave a residue. It does not stains my clothing or my bed linen should I apply it before bed. More importantly, it does not have an overpowering smell that permeates all of my clothing and bed linen. I am pleased with this product, and will continue to use as long as it helps with my lower back issues. I give this product a thumbs up all day long!!

I tried Aspercreme several years ago when I had an injury to my foot. It wasn't a serious injury but it did cause some pain and stiffness. I really did not want to go the route of a pill which could cause tummy upset and seemed excessive for a specific area so this was recommended to me. I really, really liked that this has no scent. Seriously, there is no scent. It smells sort of like unscented hand cream. It's just completely neutral smelling. This is a huge difference from the other brands which have a horrible stench that can make my eyes water! As far as the effectiveness I was very, very pleased with how well this worked. And how quickly it worked. It was absorbed almost immediately so there was no nasty greasy residue on my hands or the application site and since it doesn't smell you'd never know I'd even applied it! I found this to be very effective at low level pain and stiffness relief. It's not for serious pain but for normal, everyday pain it's definitely effective. This is easy to use, fairly inexpensive, available nearly everywhere, and effective. It's definitely a quality product!

I have arthritis in some finger joints, so there are times when the weather is foul that my hands will ache and make me crabby. While I do not mind the menthol smell of other muscle rubs, when I leave the house and need a strong acting creme for the pain in my joints I reach for Aspercreme. I don't need to share it with everyone that I have arthritis, so the scent free is a definite bonus. I rub it on my sore joints before I leave the house and I am good for hours. The price of this is also very reasonable, and I usually have a tube or two in the house. It works just as well as the stinkier varieties, so if you have a sensitive nose and the smell of other muscle rubs leave you gagging, this is definitely a great alternative. The relief you get from this product is instantaneous and it lasts for hours. A little smear goes a long way, and you do have to be careful you do not over apply because you can end up with chemical burns.

Now I've used a variety of topical anagelisics over the years and the majority of the ones I have used tend to heat up the skin or freeze the skin. My mom uses Aspercreme for Psoriatic Arthritis and loves it. She overheard my complaints of pain, in my elbows and wrists, and suggested that I try this particular pain creme. I am a user of other brands and have great results but I was looking for a creme that I could use when I am out in the public, at work, shopping, PTO Meetings. My first time I used Aspercreme I rubbed it into my skin, close to the joints that were in pain. I like the fact that there's no odor, and the creme absorbs into the skin similar to lotion. I went about doing my normal routine and noticed that my aches in my joints in my elbow and wrists eased up. I continued my day as usual but felt great that I was able to use a pain creme and not have any side effects from it. I called my mother and thanked her and now use Aspercreme for very minor joint pain. It's nice to find relief without the strong smell and extreme heat. Now I tried using this on my back but found that my pain is too severe for this product. It didn't even nip the edge off the pain but that doesn't mean it's not a great product.

I think it is safe to say that this brand was among the first and most successful in terms of being the best possible arthritis cream. I have used it my entire life for overexertion of my muscles and for stiffness and will continue to use it well into my later years. It is most definitely one of the most powerful in terms of medicinal treatment, the menthol makes for a really great soothing ointment on my tired muscles. The price has always been very reasonable and I like that it is convenient enough to find basically anywhere I go. I like to put it on at night around fifteen or twenty minutes before bed so that by the time I lay down virtually all the pain and discomfort I had through the day disappears. This helps me to get a more restful night's sleep as well as helped me to sleep solidly through the night without waking up with painful throbbing in my muscles.

Over this past year I have tried many varieties of the pain relief cream. My feet and heels have become very sensitive to pain and I stand on my feel all day at work. I was growing concerned about taking too many pain relievers and wanted to try to get relief from analgesic creams. Of all the various brands I have tried, Aspercreme feels the best on my skin and gives me the longest feeling of relief. This particular formula with the Aloe is especially nice on my sensitive skin. I had no redness or irritation at the application sites and my skin even felt softer than it had before. The formula is nice and thick which allowed me to pinpoint where I wanted to apply it as opposed to it dripping all over my foot and heal. The smell was somewhat medicinal at first but it did not leave a lasting smell or cream residue on my stockings or bedding. The warmth allowed my foot and big toe to have a much easier range of movement as well as no incidents of the sharp shooting pain I would feel in my toes as the day wore on. Most importantly to me, I was able to take only one dose of pain relief pills.

Aspercreme Pain Relieving Creme is great for minor pain especially if you have sensitive skin. I cannot use a lot of similar products due to them being too intense for my sensitive skin. Other creams often leave my skin bright red and cause discomfort. Aspercreme is much less harsh and does not bother my skin at all. Aspercreme is easy to find and is inexpensive. I have tried some generics of it and they work the same, so if you are on a budget, look for those instead. This product does not have the strong menthol smell like most similar products do. You can rub this product on and go into public without smelling like a peppermint. It also absorbs very quickly and is not greasy. I will admit this cream is best for minor pain. It does not work as well on intense or deep down pain, in comparison to similar products. I do wish it were a little more powerful but I still use it anyway. I think not having the menthol smell and the discomfort makes this product worth it.

Aspercreme does help minor aches and pains although not as much as some stronger brands. I have used it for a sore back as well as on my shoulders . It is not greasy like some are and rubs right into my skin easily. It does not irritate my skin either. I like the fact that it does not have a medicated smell which makes it great if you have to go to work or out to a function so you do not smell like a walking medicine cabinet. It is reasonably priced and a little goes a long way so the tube does last quite a while. Although it does not take really sore muscles away , it does work great on minor aches and pains. You can find it in any major drug store and every now and then it will be on sale or have a coupon. It is easy to take along in a handbag or pocket so that you can always have it on hand when you need it. I would recommend that you try it, it is affordable and does work. If you want a pain relief cream that does not smell, this one is for you.
