When I discovered Askville.com, I fell in love. Askville.com is part of Amazon.com, one of the largest online retailers. This is a great website, and you can join for free. If you have any question about anything, you can ask. People from around the world have one week to respond back with any advice they can give you. You can ask any type of question ranging from shopping, parenting, cooking, anything you can imagine.
There are tons of friendly people on Askville.com. One thing I hate about a lot of websites is that there are usually a lot of negative people that would ruin the whole site by negatively commenting. Not here. Once you ask questions you will rate answers given to you based on their quality. Every action that you do on Askville.com will earn you quest gold.
Quest gold just shows your fellow members how active you are on the website. You can redeem your quest gold for a coffee mug or t-shirt, or just hang on to them. They have run promotions in the past where you can redeem them for Amazon gift cards. They are going to start a new website where you can use your quest gold, but that won't be opening till the end of 2008.
By answering questions you will also learn experience points. Experience points show your fellow members how well you know a certain subject. They will know for instance, how well you know about cooking. The higher the level you are, the more quest gold points you will earn. So basically it is a win-win situation.
I highly recommend using Askville.com if you haven't already. I like it a lot just because I am a young parent and I always have questions about the little ones!
