Ashley Durapella Sectional - Cocoa —

When it came time for me to decide on a new sofa I had already knew what I wanted. I wanted a leather sofa, for easy cleaning, and something that was a neutral color. When my husband and I were browsing a local furniture store we came across this sofa. It was marked at around $1300 but I talked the salesperson down to $1200 and we had the sofa delivered the next day.

This sofa is gorgeous, with a modern/contemporary style, this sofa will make any room look good. It's a neutral color, with a checker board stitch detail,  that can go with anything. And this sectional is huge, of course we didn't realize in the furniture store but once we got it home we noticed! This sofa will easily sit 6 or 7 people. The Ashley furniture website says the dimensions of this sofa are 87"W x 36"D x 38"H. The leather that the sofa's made with is quality. We've been having our sofa a year and have had no tears or leather rubbing off.

The sectional comes in two pieces, the sofa part and the chaise part. The back cushions are over-stuffed and are so comfortable, sort of like pillows already attached. The bottom cushions are just as comfortable and Velcro onto the base of the sofa to prevent them from moving. This is the perfect spot for any afternoon nap.

Of course there are some things that I don't like. For starters the back of the sofa has no support so when someone leans against the leather it stretches and leaves an indention. Of course this would be prevented if it were against the wall, but it isn't. My other concern are the two pieces, the sofa and the chaise, there is no piece to connect them together. They just sit close to one another. The pieces only move a couple inches at most but it would be nice if there was something to attach the two. And last but not least, the wood trim that wraps around the bottom of the sofa chips very easily, but that's easily fixed with a touch up marker.

Overall though, the Ashley Durapella Sectional is a great sofa. If you like contemporary furniture, like comfy sofa, and looking for one that will last, this is it!
