Most HelpfulI just received my Smooth Away hair removal pads last week after ordering them on Ebay. (Which is about half the price as ordering them from the TV or their online store). Was so excited to get them in and try them. The ad makes it all so easy to use, painless, and seems to be a miracle invention...
read full review »I bought this item and well I brought it home thinking yay I found a new way to get rid hair without razor rash or nics and cuts. Well was I ever wrong it took like for ever to even getr it to remove the hair it was just like taking sand paper and rubbing my legs with it and when I did finally get it to remove the hair I though ok not so bad I put some lotion cause it made my legs look real dry. When I got it done and lotion on was all good well by the next morning oh my my legs were red and they burned. I do not recommend this product as they say for sensative skin because that is just bogus....
read full review »First of all it's overly priced. Smooth Away claims to remove hair instantly and pain free. Total LIE. If you follow their directions to the tee the hair will not come off at all. They recommend repeating the steps if it doesn't work. I had to repeat the steps several times with little effect. Actually using the product was the worst mistake ever. My legs continually itched for three consecutive days, no matter what I did. It was a horrible experience. I'll be sticking to shaving from now on. My advise is: NEVER try this horrible product!!!!!!!!
I was not at all impressed with this product. It definately wasnt worth the $10 price tag it had on it. Your hair has to be a certain length to get the best results, which I myself dont usually let my hair get that long in most places. Then, once you get to that length, I never got a smooth feeling anywhere. Let me just put it this way, you definately do not pand cannot pass the cotton ball test with this product. Its a waste of money.
If you think Smooth Away sounds too good to be true, you would be right! Upon seeing the commercials for the product on tv, my immediate thoughts were, that would be really great if it actually worked. It claims to smooth away unwanted hair in a matter of seconds. In a local pharmacy I saw that Smooth Away was on sale, so I decided to give it a try since I have an aversion to the pain associated with other types of hair removal. The so-called "hair removal" surfaces feel slightly less abrasive than a typical nail file. At this fact, I felt even more skeptical, but I continued with the process....
read full review »Smooth Away left me with very bad abrasions all over my legs. I was not happy at all. I think the method they have invented is to scrape the hair off you, but it managed to scrape lots of my skin along with it. I was not happy at all. It did not at all work like the way they described it on tv. What they do not show is that they will also lose the top layer of their epidermis as well. Do not buy this torture device ladies!
I still believe after using the Smooth away that only really effective way to get your hair removed is a razor. This product is basically just a smooth file in a bigger scale. I had to go over the hair 5 or 6 times even though the smooth away warns you to not go over the same area twice. It says no razor burn but the next day my skin had a rug burn, in this case a " smooth away burn" save your money and fork up for that nice razor. I use a mens mach 3 and the gillete for woman. The mach 3 for men is 26 bucks for the refill and the gillete is about 18. If you want a close shave try using condictioner...
read full review »I had seen many commercials for the "Hair Away" hair removal product. My first impression is that it would be quick and easy to use. My sister and I had both discussed wanting to try it. So while in Walgreens I saw it for $9.99 and decided to pick it up. After getting home and reading the instructions I noticed the big red stop sign that read "warning". I thought to myself a product like this should not require a warning notice. However, it stated that you should use the product in a circular motion alternating directions every 5 strokes to avoid skin irritations. After examining the product...
read full review »I saw Smooth Away on TV all the time and I thought that it looked interesting. It promised you a clean shaven look without a razor that was gentle on your skin. So when I was visiting one of my regular stores and saw it there for a good price, I decided to give it a try. It was the worst decision I made! This product claims that it leaves your skin exfoliated and soft and doesn't irritate your skin, so absolutely no RAZOR BURN. That's false. After I used this on my legs within 30 minutes I had a rash. My skin was red, bumpy, and blotchy and it hurt worse than razor burn. I don't even have that...
