Most HelpfulNever did I think that I would believe any ad on tv. I saw the
ad for the one touch battery operated can opener and thought to
myself, "that's too good to be true." Probably won't work the
way that they show it on tv. Have seen them on sale in stores,
but the price was always $19.99, a bit pricey...

Most HelpfulWell Well....This product was cool a while back and it certainly works and works good BUT both the battery and the unit dont hold up. In a relatively short period of time I bought 5 of these and they were dropping like flies. They just dont last. I have a tough time finding a great canopener and my basement shelves can prove it but I just found one and so far it is great and it is by West End. This hands free unit started as a five but ended as a 3...It does work well....Another point about this is that when you open a can of tuna fish or something like that, it takes the rigidness out...
review »I bought the One Touch can opener, because I thought it would be easy to use with one hand. My neighbor had warned me against buying it, but I got a good deal on it and tried it anyway. It was easy to use with one hand, but it never opens a can on the first try. I have to restart it several times, before it opens the lid enough for me to twist off the lid. It usally leaves a little of the lid still stuck to the can, so I have to twist it off. It is supposed to break the seal between the lid and the can, but all it usually does is make a mess. I open very few cans, so I still use it...
review »When we saw the one touch can opener, we were so excited! Who doesn't love this premise? We had to have one and went out to Wal-Mart and purchased one. When we got home, however, the one touch can opener we bought didn't work. It would only cut the label on the can, and no matter how we positioned it, or repositioned it, it simply would not cut the can open. So, we took it back and exchanged it for another one touch can opener. When we got this one home, it didn't work either. It just wouldn't turn on to cut anything! We tried different batteries, no luck! We read the directions...

If you have had it with those great big on top of the counter can openers, then this is for you. I love my One Touch Can Opener. I received it as a gift from my step mother. She has had one for several years and if she likes it then anyone would. I just set this opener on my can and press the big black button and walk away. It always starts and stops by it self and the top is totally removed. Just be careful of the can edge so that you don't cut your fingers. I never have and that says a lot, becaue I tend to be a little accident prone. I can't say enough about this product, except,...
review »While this product was extremely easy to use, it was difficult to remove the can lid from the opener. It tended to get stuck and had to be pried off. Also, while it opened the cans in a timely manner, the battery got drained very quickly.
I found that this product, while looked good for an elderly or disabled person, that is was in fact that that great an option. My eighty six year old grandmother had an extremely hard time trying to figure out how to use it.
Great invention, makes life easier for everyone. Especially when you get older
like me. I love it!, You just press down lightly and walk away, it opens the can all by itself. It sure beats my old can-opener. I would recommend this ONE TOUCH can-opener for everyone. It's fast, convenient, easy to use ,price is good-$20.00, and it's like the Energize bunny it just keeps going for all size cans.
