At this stage of life, I'm a handicapped homeowner with arthritis. It's really hard for me to drag around any large appliance or any type cleaner that doesn't do a really good job. I like this sweeper so very much, I own two. One for upstairs & one for downstairs.
It has done a great job on floors or rugs. Only thing with rugs is you have to dump the dirt collector often. That isn't a problem as it does such a good job & it's so easy to use, I don't mind using it everyday or two. I do own a dog, so its important that I can vacuum this often.
The battery lasts about 20 minutes, but you only have to plug it in to recharge for about 3 hrs, & there are no cords. You just plug the battery into a wall socket.
I bought both of mine at CVS for $34.99. It doesn't say so on the directions, but when sweeper gets really dusty, I take the bottom sweeper all apart & rinse it under hot water, let it dry throughly, & it's good as new.
I recommend the Swivel Sweeper to anyone who likes to keep a tidy home with little effort. Very reliable.
