As Seen On TV Shark Steam Mop —

I realize factory reconditioned is supposed to be as good as a new one, but when I pay a new price for something and it breaks on the third use, I expect a new one to replace it. After all, factory reconditioned units are cheaper on most things, so had I wanted that, I would have paid less in the first place.

The Shark Steam Mop Pro  is a wonderful cleaning machine, I fell in love with it the first use. I have ceramic tile in kitchen and dining rooms, and in both bathrooms. It doesn't get down in the grout as well as I'd like, but I found that a quick rub with a cloth after steaming takes care of that.  It does NOT push dirt around, I don't understand that part of the reviews I have read. I am sure to sweep or vaccum the floors well,  before I ever get ready to mop. It saves me a good hour to hour and a half over the old brush and bucket routine for this textured tile we have. It cleaned it just as clean (or cleaner) and I have never seen a streak on my floors,  and it felt so nice to walk on afterwards. Love the instant drying! Love the carpet glider (a MUST have to use this mop on carpet) to loosen dirt and kill dust mites before I vaccum!  Love the no chemical, no streak clean! I think once those are off your floors they will disappear completely.

Changing the pads during a large cleaning area might help some of you with pets and kids coming in and out alot. I ordered extras because of the large areas I have to do, but gotta say, one does it all.

BUT I got about two square feet done on the third use and the handle snapped in two (down at the pump action part) and I was told that is not a replacement part that I could buy, (pump actuator) They wanted me to send the mop back and they would repair or send new. I refused to pay shipping to ship back something I had just paid shipping to get (19.95 if I remember right) and eventually asked for a supervisor, who immediatley agreed to send me a new mop, and I could keep the "old" one for parts. (Of course the part that I might need was the broken one.)

Well, I got a factory reconditioned unit which did not make me happy, as I could have bought one of those to start with for less money. I sent them an email asking what were they going to do when this handle broke??? No reply, but so far so good. Have used it 3 times and been very gentle.

I wish it had a pivot head to turn around bathroom areas instead of having to pick the mop up and reposition it, but if you want a deep clean, and a great clean, this mop does produce exactly what it says it will. I hope this one lasts longer than the first one, hopefully the next model will have a better stronger area around the pumping part of the handle, because it is a great mop and saves me sooooo much time on my hands and knees.  Thanks shark for saving my knees!!!!!  My fingers are crossed every time I use it that it doesn't break again, but that's the only thing I don't like about this mop. I loved my Monster Steamer so much I just had to try a steam mop, if this one breaks I will have to get a different kind, much as I like this one. ...And hey, that steam has to be great for our complexions ladies!

Great review! My MIL bought my the H2O mop, which is similar, but I'm not hugely impressed with it.
