I ventured out to Bed, Bath and Beyond, and boy do I love that store. So many kitchen gadgits, as seen on TV, massage chairs, candles, you pretty much name it I think they have it there (The name fits it).
While shopping for my Dad's birthday gift I had to parooz a few other things and I came to notice the "Grease Bullet". (As seen on TV). It said it would clean tough stuck on grease, could clean baked on items, make your stove liners, pots and pans and more look like brand new.
I should have left it there. I did have a old pan that I would have loved to see look like new (It was the old, ugly frying pan that used to go camping with us). If it would clean this, I would have been sold. The directions said to leave the tough soiled pots and pans in the sink over night with one to two "Grease Bullets" (crushed). So I did. I checked it from time to time and really didn't see anything happening. The next morning I was so excited to see what this "Grease Bullet" could do. Well, some bits came off, but really didn't see what they were saying it could do. I was really bummed, the pan had a very dried out look to it. As I was cleaning my stainless steel sink I looked to find I now have a ring around it that I can't get out. GRRRR! I scrubbed it down twice.
I did give it one more try, but didn't fill my sink this time. I had a casserole dish that had some baked on potatoes and plopped in a "Grease Bullet". Well it did loosen it, but I can get the same results when I use a Cascade pouch and faster.
So if you see the "Grease Bullet" in the store, just leave it there. Cascade pouches are cheaper, work better and I think it's just safer to use. You can check out what the this product says it can do (but can't) at the Greasebullet website.
