working your abs the traditional way but without all the pain

4

The ab lounge gives you a workout just like the traditional crunches on the floor. It relieves all the pain and stress on your back and neck unlike traditional crunches. It works the upper, middle, lower, and sides of your abdominal muscles. It's also really good for stretching and some yoga/pilates movements. I used the ab lounge for a few years it helped to strengthen my abdominals as well as increase my energy. It could be easily folded up and put under the bed or in the closet. It's light weight so it could also be taken out of town or inside a hotel room. The fabricl is comfortable enough for you to exercise on the ab lounge for the amount of time needed for you to get the perfect workout each day. Because of it's light weight, you could place in front of the tv while you work your abs or go outside by the pool to get some sun. You can even bring it into your room so you could get a late night workout without waking the kids. It makes no noise so you won't wake your wife/husband and kids. So this machine makes sure there are no excuses for not using it to get the workout of a lifetime.

Work it baby, work it!

So easy to use! Great investment, good price. It really makes ab work outs easy! no pressure on the back or neck. The video has great follow thru tips. Any body can use it. Just sit on it. Lie back. Hold the upper bar, place feet on the extension bar and start doing sit ups! It also is great for doing a back stretch on. Feels great! Timely response on the order. Does require assembly.

Doesn't live up to the advertisement

I got this product 3 years ago for Christmas.  I used it religiously for about 3 weeks, and then went back to on the floor crunches.  I didn't notice any improvement in my abs, but I was getting completely nauseous from the motion everytime I used it.  I live in a small house and since I have not gotten rid of the stupid thing yet, it makes a nice clothing rack because it is nearly impossible to store.

Works well for streching and a workout

I have been using te AB Lounge 2 at my gym and see results using it.  I have a slipped disk in my back and this thing is great for easily strenching my back out.  Like any machine you have to put in the work and not expect an over night miracle.  30 days is not enough time to use something and expect results.  It takes many exersises and machines to get the job done.  No one machine will go it.

A complete failure when it comes to modern ab machines.

When I received my AbLounge I thought the assembly instructions were only going to be a small draw back to my overall experience. It turns out this was just the beginning of a my problems. Storage is difficult and clunky, use is loud and uncomfterable and I never felt any sort of result even when I followed the instructions to a tee. I gave it a shot for the 30 day trial period, then I tried to call and return the machine at which point I was told I needed to have it mailed and at their distribution center within 30 days to receive any sort of refund. Boo.

Not bad

Well first off lets get one thing straight. There seems to be a common misconception that you can workout your abs and then get a six pack. Sorry. Wrong. Abs are made in the kitchen. If you weigh 300 pounds, dont expect this thing or any other piece of equipment geared towards working your core, to give you abs. Its not gonna happen. Gotta diet and lose that extra bit of flab. Oh yeah, and another common misconception: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SPOT FAT REMOVAL. Now on to the actual product: Its not too bad at all. Personally, I really like to just have my gym membership, but if im not really feeling up to snuff someday, Ill sit this thing in front of my tv, pop in a movie, and hop inside it, and use it for 20 minutes or so. There is some assembly required, but did you seriously think that they were gonna bring the whole thing to your house already assembled? Haha, thats a laughable concept. For what it is, its a good tool, but wouldnt replace a gym membership.

the ab lounger was not what it claimed

1

to say the ab lounger 2 was not as it was advertised is an understatement. kind of like saying ice is just cool. i have many physical problems so i have to be careful about what types of exercises i do, but i thought this would be an exercise machine i could use without to much pain. the first thing i noticed is it doesn't fold up. i read the booklet and watched the dvd they sent. well, even after that, the thing was just about useless. the results were almost nothing even after doing the exercises like they commended. i had to tell my husband he was right once again about buying things on tv with high hopes. but all is not lost, it is in the room that i do my ironing in and it holds the hangers and ironed clothes nicely.

The ab lounge is just an average product

3

I got the Ab Lounge as a gift many years ago, and it was just an average product for me. When I first got it, I was very excited to use it, but later noticed that it didn't fully work out my abs that well. First of all, I don't like the foot rests. I found myself using my arms more than my abs just to extend and crunch myself back into a ball. If you use it long enough, then you will feel the workout in your abs, but if you excercise only for a short amount of time, you won't feel much in your abs. There are much better machines/equipment that would work out your abs in a shorter period of time and would require less energy throughout the whole body. I eventually got rid of this item because it took up too much space and I didn't have anywhere to store it when I wasn't using it as much. It got in the way and wasn't very pleasing to have around when guests were over. It was also heavy and took a long time to assemble and unassemble.

Makes a great clothes hanger

The Ab Lounge 2 is the most terrible piece of exercise equiptment I've ever used. It hurts my arms and legs when used as directed, and has NO effect whatsoever on my abs. The few redeeming qualities are the comfortable seat and the ability to hyper-extend the back. However, those are acheivable in other ways. Leaning backwards on a balance ball gets the same, if not more, back extention and stretch. When I bought the machine, I had to assemble it, and there was a great deal of assembly required. It was very difficult to assemble alone. The Ab Lounge does not fold. That means it takes up a big chunk of space on the floor, which is very annoying. It's difficult to move the machine, so storing it in a small space is nearly impossible. The machine is heavy, it's uncomfortable, and is pretty much just a big waste of money and space in my house. I certainly intend to get it off my hands as soon as I can.
