Arrested Development —

My husband and I love watching "Arrested Development" on DVD.  We need to buy the series already!!  We have rented the entire 3 seasons from Netflix too many times to count.

What I really want to know is who made the decision to take this series off the air?  I mean seriously, are they still employed at Fox or what?  I would love to hear your comments if you know the answer or even want to rant.

The lengths "Arrested Development" writer's went toward to pull off a joke, with an amazing cast of actors and voice-overs by Ron Howard no less is genius.  The main premise of the show breaks down into total hilarious dysfunction with the majority of the Bluth family keeping up appearances of their former wealth, all while one son struggles to keep the family business alive when the Patriarch is jailed for fraud in connection with the Bluth's upscale international home development company.

While we watch the "Arrested Development" series we enjoy finding similarities with many of our own family members, and sometimes even ourselves, in their list of spoiled rotten to over-achieving characters.

The episode we most cherish is when the Bluth office's air conditioning doesn't have enough oomph to cool the whole office.  The vents force out hot & humid air in one office and frigid air like the Artic in another.  This is something that happens with our central air in our own home during hot weather.  Needless to say it was side-splitting for us to see the characters shivering with scarves on in one room and striped down to near nothing in the other while going about their consistent manipulations of Jason Bateman's character, Michael to get money or approval.

However, whatever episode we watch, each one gives us something to laugh about until our sides hurt.  I miss the Bluth's!!!  But, just when I thought I was going to "Say good-bye to these!"  I discovered that there will be an "Arrested Development" movie released in 2010.

I suggest watching the entire series before the movie comes to a theater near you.  Also, for more information regarding the "Arrested Development" movie written & directed by Mitchell Hurwitz check out The Internet Movie Database (imdb.com).
