I cook a lot of rice in my home so I needed a reliable, low priced cooker and this one caught my eye. It is a fantastic rice cooker. It gets the rice cooked perfectly, with rarely a hard grain found in the bunch. Performance Rice comes out cooked perfectly every time and it doesn't take all that long to get it cooked either. I have used the steamer function far less, but it works very well also. That makes this machine a dual threat and well worth the money. Ease of Cleaning It's very easy to clean this rice cooker. I don't usually need more than a sponge to wipe out the inside and this rice cooker will look just as good as new. Ease of Use It is very easy to use this rice cooker. I figured out how to use the settings very quickly because it is built so user friendly. Durability I haven't had any problems with the durability of this rice cooker. I love how strong it is. It is going to last me a long time. Design This rice cooker looks great on my kitchen counter. It fits right in.

I finally broke down and bought a rice cooker. I grew up on rice but I married someone who doesn't like it very much so I didn't cook it much so I used to cook rice in a pot. yeah that sucked and I sucked at it. Bought this and wham - awesome! Just use the cup provided, put water to the line and zap perfect rice. I recently made some jasmine rice and was concerned because I read the back of the bag and it was "blah blah blah" but I was like, i'm going to just follow the booklet instructions that came with this rice cooker and see what happens. Bam..rice was fine Performance It's great, haven't used the steamer option as yet so i'm only giving it a 9

The aroma ten cup rice cooker and food steamer was a very aggravating, time consuming, waste of a purchase. This was one of if not the first one I had boughten based on reviews from not only the company, but a member of my family. I do not understand what everyone is saying is so great about this. Not to be harsh, but it's a piece of garbage that's way overpriced. First of all the digital feature which is nothing more than a few buttons to set the time and what temperature like warm or hot, but that's where it started. I wanted to try some rice first figuring it would be the easiest thing to cook and also already semi defrosted chunks of beef. I put the timer on for the food and rice. The first time I used it, the rice had a layer on the bottom and side of the pan that was just stuck on and the rice was way undercooked. Not only that, but the not even frozen meat was not cooked and I even added a couple extra minutes because I'm a little paranoid about salmonella. Thinking it must have been my fault, I tried it again, changed how I did it a little bra is I was already following the directions. I made sure there was enough water to steam and that my meat was fully defrosted. To my horrible surprise, when dinner time came and the machine alerted me it was done, boy was it done. It took me about a half hour to clean it because everything burned, meat included, stuck on everything and we were left with a little bit of edible food. That was it for me. I was done and didn't even care enough to bring it back because of how mad I was and how I wanted to just get it out of my sight. Never again would I use it even if it was the only thing I had to cook with. The design isn't bad, but who cares what it looks like if it doesn't work?

This is literally the best rice cooker that I have ever bought. I try to live a frugal lifestyle, so I started considering cooking rice since it is so inexpensive. No matter how hard I tried with other rice cookers, the rice always seemed to be over cooked, under cooked, dry, or hard. That is until I bought this Aroma cooker. Now those days of terrible rice are over finally. This little machine has changed my life. Now every time I use it, my rice comes out to perfection. Let me mention that rice is not the only thing that can be cooked in this cooker. You may also steam vegetables and meat in the steamer tray simultaneously. Also the chicken juices drip down into the rice and gives it a whole new awesome flavor. In addition, the cooker has a little water collection container on the side of it. Be sure to empty it out every now and then, since you do not want it leaking from it overfilling. Overall it is definitely worth every penny.

I received this rice maker as a wedding gift and have LOVED using it. I didn't know making rice could be so easy. The instructions are super easy to follow and it allows you to put everything in the cooker and forget about it till the timer goes off. One thing I have noticed is that depending on the rice I use like basmati I need to add water just barely above the water line so that my rice isn't too dry. I also use the plastic measuring cup that is provided and the plastic rice scooper. The inside of the cooker is non-stick so it is super easy to get the rice out and super easy to clean up. I also love the water catcher on the side so when I open the lid it all goes into one place making cleanup easy by just pouring out the water from the plastic catcher. Compared with other more expensive rice cookers this one is sold at a great price and does a great job. Design The black and stainless steel give it a nice look and it doesn't look like a cheap addition to your kitchen.

I purchased this rice cooker and food steamer after seeing high reviews about it. I already had a steamer and a separate rice cooker, but the rice cooker was very small. I was really tired of having to clean up messes from the rice cooker over-boiling all the time. It did this almost every time I used it and I accounted it to how small it is. So far, this has worked out wonderfully well as a vegetable steamer and a rice cooker. Performance You get perfectly cooked rice or steamed vegetables in less than an hour, depending on the amount you cook. I love this food steamer and rice cooker. Ease of Cleaning It's very easy to clean. The inside is made of a nonstick surface, so nothing sticks to it. There's also a mechanism in the back that collects water, all you have to do is empty it when your rice is done. This device seems prevents it from boiling over which usually happened with my last rice cooker. Ease of Use This is very easy to use. There are multiple buttons that allow you to cook different foods, like separate buttons to brown and white rice. The buttons are labeled for brown rice, white rice, saute simmer, keep warm and delay. They also include instructions with it that are very easy to follow. You fill it with rice, then water, push the button for brown or white rice and it beeps when it's done. Durability It's been very durable so far. Design The only problem I found with the design is that the venting on this machine is on back, so you have to make sure it's not up against the wall or cabinet. I do like the fact it has venting, as my last machine wasn't vented very well and it caused it to boil over.

One of the handiest small appliances I have in my kitchen is the Aroma 10 cup rice cooker and food steamer! I received this as a gift from my grandmother after cooking rice on the stove all my life. I was missing out!! This rice cooker is very easy to use. You just add in the rice, water and seasonings if you would like and let it cook until the timer goes off and it's cooked to absolute perfection every single time! Rice on the stove is simple to make but this rice cooker takes it to a whole new level of easy and tastiness! My favorite feature of this rice cooker is the food steamer! I steam lots of veggies in here while I cook my rice, including my personal favorites carrots and broccoli! They are tender and tasty every single time! Clean up is super easy as well. It has a nonstick service that requires minimal elbow grease while washing. I definitely recommend the Aroma rice maker and food steamer to all cooks! It's amazingly easy to use and cooks rice and steamed veggies perfectly every time!

I have read all these great reviews but I can not rave from my own experience, or shall I say, experiences. I received this rice cooker for Christmas and was so excited because, although I am told I'm a very good cook, my rice is like wallpaper paste. This rice cooker just will not perform for me. Over and over, using different types of rice and continuously and meticulously going over the instructions trying to figure out why it comes out undercooked, over cooked, why??? I don't get it because everyone else seems to love it. Not me, and my family cringes every time I take it out of the storage cabinet. After several, and I do mean several attempts, I think I should just stick (no pun intended) to just making potatoes. If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears. Performance See above Ease of Cleaning No problem there, thank goodness. The burnt bottom crust comes out like a piece of toast and the sticky rice comes off the sides with ease! Ease of Use Ugh! I first saw this rice maker in use at a friends house. I was over for dinner and the rice was phenomenal. I asked what his secret was and he showed me this machine. My went went on Overstock and bought one that night. Performance Follow the directions and you will have perfect white, brown, or wild rice every time. Ease of Cleaning The cooking pot is nonstick so cleanup is a snap. The cooking pot is also dishwasher safe. Ease of Use Plug it in, fill with rice, water, and seasoning if desired. Close the lid and push the appropriate button. It beeps when done and will keep the rice fresh doe hours. Durability Few moving parts so nothing to break. I have used probably fifty times in the last year and never had any problems or complaints. It always works perfectly. Design Design is simplistic. It is not going to be the most artistic looking item in the kitchen, but who cares once you taste the rice. It looks kind of like a crock pot in design. It is easy to store in a cabinet.

This is one very handy machine to have around. I do the main entree on the bottom and steam vegetables or rice on top, The trick is putting in the rice or vegetable to end with the entree. Some raw vegetables cook faster than others. Performance It works great. Noiseless and the aromas are wonderful when it's cooking. Ease of Cleaning It's actually much easier to clean than I thought it would be. Simply lift out the steamer tray and the deep dish, rinse them, throw in the dishwasher or hand wash yourself. Very easy. Ease of Use It has 6 settings buttons. White rice, brown rice, saute simmer, keep warm and delay. it's really about as easy as it gets. Durability As far as durable I'm not too sure yet. I haven't had it long enough to know. It's very lightweight and looks like it's built very well. I would imagine it will be around for a long time. Design The overall design is good. It looks very much like a crock pot slow cooker. The push button settings pad is very nice and easy to see and understand. Also the steamer basket and cooking bowl looks well designed.
