It's hearty but soft and moist enough to make a good sandwich. My husband used to eat only white bread but now he eats Arnold whole wheat and all the other varieties after trying it. I like the texture and the embedded grains.

My husband purchased Arnold German Dark Wheat bread and now I don't even want to look at white bread.  This is so tasty it reminds me of pumpernickle bread but better.  It has a good consistency especially toasted.  22 grams of whole grains per slice and a good source of fiber.  Perfect for creating sandwiches with the benefits of whole grains.  This tastes great toasted with butter.  There is no corn syrup in the ingreadients which some whole wheat breads have.  ( I was surprised at this!).
