Army wives is a hot new series on Lifetime.
This show is based on 4 army wives and 1 husband who all has something in common, their other half is enlisted in the army.
Live through each trial and tribulation as family and friends live on an army base.
Kim Delaney is excellent and the characters that the others play are fantastic.
Gotta love Roxie, she is the outcast. Funny, amusing and works in a bar.
Some could consider this a chic flic, but gotta watch it to see.
OMG!! I am a military wife/.army wife myself. I love this movie. I never missed a new episode. it was like a date for me that happened the same time on Sundays... Many times this movie or show hit home for me. What they are going through, as people. as soldiers spouses and even the kids. Roxy was my favorite as she reminded me alot of myself... I just cant say enough about this movie, I will own all box sets as they come out!! WOW WHAT A GREAT SERIES!!! A must see in order movies. Cant miss a one...
Army Wives is my most-favorite show ever!! I am not much of a TV viewer because there aren't too many good shows out there anymore but this one takes the cake!!! I have all my girls watching it--ages 17, 15, 12 and 7, my now new daughter-in-law who is 19, my twin sister, and others. I even have my husband watching!!! He is always "reminding" me that it is coming on in so many minutes--lol. This show is exceptional. I love the storylines, the characters...it is more real than a lot of shows out there and people can relate. It is funny, sad--can get emotional at times,
I had...
read full review »When Army Wives came out, I was an Army Wife, and I thought with the war going on it was going to be one of those rah-rah flag waving propaganda vehicles to show how much the military values family. I was wrong and I was more than a little surprised.
They have actual scenarios that happen in the Army. You know it when you sign on, but the Army considers the soldier an investment (an expensive one at that) and it's nice they have a family support system, but you always know the Army comes first. Graduations, plays, funerals, planned trips, even births on ocassion have to be missed if the Army needs...
read full review »As a wife and mother who is also employed as a 911 dispatcher, I rarely watch TV. If I am not working one of my 12 hour shifts, I am sleeping, reading, or catching up on my email, not to mention grocery shopping, housework, etc...., but my attention was caught by an online mention of the show Army Wives, and being an ex Army Wive, I decided it might be fun to check it out.
I had already missed the first two seasons, so I pulled up my Netflix account online, and requested the first season. When my first disk arrived, I waited for some quiet time, and curled up to see what all the fuss was about....
read full review »Army Wives is one of the best shows that is on today and it airs on Lifetime Network. This show tells the stories about the spouses of those who have made the Army their life. Army Wives lets you in on what goes on behind the scenes and also how the Army does things. We get some insight into what goes on and how the Army tends to be when one of their own is in trouble. We have Claudia Joy Holden who is married to the Michael Holden, who is the commander of the base that they are currently at. There is Denise Sherwood who is married to career Army Frank Sherwood. There is Roxy LeBlanc who is married...
read full review »I am a regular watcher of Army Wives. This show reeled me in. Now I do not want to miss an episode. I'm not sure how close it is to the real lives of a real Army wife, but sure it's pretty close to what they go through. Never knowing when their spouses will be deployed, coming home or if something has happened to them. I admire all the men and women who put there lives on the line for all American's. Demanding jobs, stressful, always on the watch for enemy attack. Trying to step in before something happens, and the loved one's that are left here to take care of the family.
I feel for all the characters....

this show has taken off, soaring to the top of the ratings from the moment it began. being an ex- military wife myself,i had half-way expected it to be nothing but torrid affairs and back-stabbing plots. but, i was way off base. this show tells the heart of what it means to be a military wife. it tells both sides, the good and the bad! trying not to lean to either side in a favortism manner.
the story lines are funny,sad,...
read full review »The show about Army wives is so accurate about how the military treats wives and how we end up sometimes having to go it alone. As a retired Army Wife, I feel as if I am reliving the whole experience again. My husband is like Pamela husband, gone all the time. I saw him only 2-3 days per month. This show is to the point, especially with the children. It is very hard on teens who have to move around a lot. High School is so important and to have to move during your junior or Senior year is devastating. Thank God our children were out of HS when we moved for the final time. I am hoping that when...
read full review »Army wives....lifetimes hit series came back for a second season...yeah.. I could not wait and us fans of the show had to wait extremely long because of the famous "writter's strike". you know? well, i don't want to give it away but it is a great show. i believe it has a little bit for everyone. it has love lives, it has triumph, struggle, smiles and tears. anyone that has heard or even seen the show once, you have to fall in love.
There are 5 main "army wives" . Four are married or in a relationship with a man whom is in the army (Roxy, Denise, Pamela, Claudia Joy) then there is...
read full review »When I first saw the previews I didn't think I would be so interested in it because I am really not connected to the Army. However after watching the first episode I was hooked. I can't stop watching it. The only con would be there are not that many episodes for a season. The season runs through the summer instead of during school time like most sitcoms. It is on lifetime. I love that all the characters are friends in a group and apart. They all go through at least one major thing each season it seems and everyone pulls together to get them through it. At first you think one of the wives is so...
read full review »Having been in the military for 22 years, I can relate to the trial and tibulations shown on this show. The current deployments and showing the impacts to the families is commendable on this Lifetime show. Great that Army WIves is on during summer when TV selection is limited. The casting is great and really entices the viewers to believe this is real. It is great to see some of the older actresses involved in such a great show. I had company this summer and was able to hook two more viewers with just one show. The recent affair really hit home as you hear so many stories of either...

read full review »Army Wives is now in its 3rd season and each season just gets better. My husband and I watch this show together and he enjoys it just as much as I do. I think the show not only does a great job of showing what army wives (and husbands) go through while their family member is deployed, but it also shows how the the person who is deploying feels about it. The show also deals with real life issues that go on and how the spouse that is at home must deal with each situation in hopes that the deployed spouse will agree with the decisions that have been made while he or she is gone. This show is for anyone...
