Army Wives —

As a wife and mother who is also employed as a 911 dispatcher, I rarely watch TV. If I am not working one of my 12 hour shifts, I am sleeping, reading, or catching up on my email, not to mention grocery shopping, housework, etc...., but my attention was caught by an online mention of the show Army Wives, and being an ex Army Wive, I decided it might be fun to check it out.

I had already missed the first two seasons, so I pulled up my Netflix account online, and requested the first season. When my first disk arrived, I waited for some quiet time, and curled up to see what all the fuss was about.

By the time the last of the four episodes on the disc had finished, I was hooked! I don't think I have enjoyed a show so much since Dallas (a 1980's series, for those of you under 30).  While real Army life wasn't quite like the show, it did take me back to those days when I lived on base, and I could not wait to start on disc number two. Now I know I am going to have to watch all of the shows in order to catch up for seaon three.

The core characters of the show are four Army wives and one man whose wife is an Army Officer. They become friends, and share good times and sorrows together. I have laughed and cried, and fallen in love with Army Wives. It is a winner, and I would encourage anyone who likes good drama to check it out.
