armstrong sheet vinyl has solved the flooring problem for my wife and me. What we had was one foot squares of vinyl.  Very hard to keep clean and the seams were very noticable.  Water would seep in the cracks and cause damage.We looked at other products and decided the sheet vinyl  was best. First because it looked great and also It is much cheaper than the other products.  It is a whole sheet of vinyl with no seams, and needs  no glue.  It comes in nine and twelve feet widths, that are just rolled out to the desired length.  Just measure, cut and lay down. I was able to do the complete project, including hauling it home.  My wife loves it because it is easy to care for,  dust or at most damp mop.  We have had it for over a year and no scuffs or tears.  The flooring has a backing that provides some cushioning and makes the flooring sturdier.  As you can tell from the picture it looks like hard wood flooring.  The only problem is the it is so slick our little dog slips and slides when running on the flooring.
