Arms Reach Mini Co-Sleeper —

We bought the Arms Reach Mini Co Sleeper because I was led to believe that it is practical for breastfeeding moms, as well as moms who have had a c-section. On the Arms Reach website they clearly state that it is great for moms who have had a c-section, so it is not something that I have relied on by word of mouth from other moms. Who better to trust than the manufacturer?

In my honest opinion I will have to disagree that it is great for moms with a c-section. I could NOT in any shape or form turn my body sideways or place my body into a position which would allow me to pick the baby up. I always had to have someone get her for me. This was pretty frustrating and disappointing because one of the main reasons for getting it was because I knew I was having a c-section.

I'm also not pleased with having to buy leg extensions for the co-sleeper. I feel it should already come with a built-in type leg extension system. I ordered the co sleeper and leg extensions all on the same day and when my daughter came home, I had the bed but still no extensions.

The co sleeper is a little bit overpriced!

I will still rate the co-sleeper with a rating of 5 stars because other than the whole c-section thing, it did do what else it was supposed to do. I breastfeed my daughter and the co-sleeper has made it very convenient for night feedings.

I bed-shared with my first daughter because I was terrified of SIDS so I just wanted her to be close to me. This time around I wanted to try something different. The co sleeper enabled me to sleep comfortably in my own bed while at the same time allowing my baby to still be close to me. This is very comforting!

To summarize, the co sleeper is great for nursing moms who want their babies near them. Even if you do not nurse but just want the baby beside you, it is perfect. It's not so great for moms in recovery from a c-section.

Wanted to say that I would NOW trust an opinion from a total stranger than the manufacturer.
