I LOVE my co-sleeper! We live in a two bedroom apartment and already have one child who is five. When he was a baby, he slept in bed with me and I was always so worried that either myself or my husband would roll over on him that I barely slept. The Arms Reach co-sleeper makes it possible for a breastfeeding mother to feed her baby without ever really getting out of bed, or allowing the baby to fully wake up.
My daughter is eight months old, and we are only now retiring it, and only because the mattress is kind of hard with the bars under it- and I think that may be contributing to my daughters frequent night wakings. But, up until this point- she has slept like a dream.
When my son was 4 months old, we moved him into his crib because I just wasn't getting enough sleep with him in bed with me. By the time I heard him begin to fuss and actually get out of my bed to feed him, he was WIDE awake and crying. Now, with the co-sleeper, I am able to roll over at her first signs of hunger, lift her out of her bed, put her in bed with me and feed her without her ever really waking up. The co-sleeper has helped her feel close to me and safe which has helped her sleep through the night (she wakes to eat, but not because she is upset or lonely.)
It is very heavy and hard to move once it's set up, but I didn't set mine up to be moved anyways, so it didn't bother me. And the price, while steep, is totally worth it for such a great product. If I had to reccommend one thing to a nursing mother, it would be this product, hands down.
