since i had this product my two kittens got really sick. they where not eating playing or anything kittens should do. one of the kittens has a clear nasty smelling stuff coming from his mouth since i have been using this. Do not use this product bad!!

This stuff smells good, but not like perfume (which is an excellent selling point). However, I find that with the regular off-the-shelf arm and hammer baking soda, I get equally good results in controlling kitty odors. You can't tell we have cats using Arm and Hammer.

The Arm and Hammer Litterbox Deodorizer has made my house smell so much better!!! Our cat stays in a small bathroom during the day and her litterbox is in there also. We have a tendency to not empty the litterbox as often as we should (I know, I'm awful), so sometimes the smell gets overwhelming. We bought a box of the Arm and Hammer litter deodorizer and it has made it so much better! You just sprinkle a coat on the bottom of the litterpan, pour in the litter, and sprinkle another coat on top. It's activated everytime the cat scratches in the litter and releases a little burst of freshness. You no longer smell a litterbox, even when you're in the bathroom and it hasn't been emptied recently. You now smell Arm and Hammer freshness from the deodorizer. It doesnt' bother the cat either, she never flinched from the difference in her litterbox. The boxes could be a bit larger so they'd last longer, but overall, the product is wonderful and has made my life so much easier!

I have 5 kitty kids so a good litter box deodorizer is essential. I actually switch between this & another brand. Arm & Hammer litter box deodorizer is a good deodorizer...however, because of the strong scent, I don't pour it directly over the litter because I know cats don't like heavy perfume smells which isn't good for them anyway (or me). Anyway...I just pour it in the trash can that I scoop the dirty litter in. That way, there's no lingering smell but at the same time, my "kids" can go do their business without being overwhelmed by a strong scent. It's also good for sprinkling in your regular trash can...really helps freshen it up.

We have two cats and one big litter box. We use the clumping kind of litter. My husband had just been using regular old Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to keep down any residual odor. It worked fine. My husband saw this Arm & Hammer Cat Box Deodorizer and bought it because he thought it would maybe be longer-lasting. It's just baking soda with a horrible strong perfumey scent added. It's overwhelming, smack-you-in-the-face strong. When I was little, sometimes my mother would sprinkle this powder stuff on the carpet to "freshen the house" and then vacuum it up. That's exactly what this product smells like, except the scent hangs in the air and is not vacuumed up. My grandmother used to have talcum powder in a big oval box with a puff in it that smelled like it, too. Just buy regular baking soda. It's cheaper, it won't make your eyes water, and it works just as well.

I see no point in this product it made no diifrence and left a mess to clean up,It also made myself and my cats sneeze,caused one of them to stop using the litter box. my husband said the smell was the same and my daughter kept getting it on her cloths, Arm and Hammer cat litter deoderant is a very agravating product and is a wast of time and money just scoop the box more, I also think it was a cause of throwup boughts one of my cats had, the smell it left on the cats was overpowering and not at all desirable.. I have three cats and none of them liked the product.My husband actualy dared me to use it anymore, he found it very offencive, and intolarable. My neighbor said she thought it made her cats sick to, that it definatly was not worth the time, it was easier to scoop and change litter more often, Thid product was highly disapointing to us. and ended up in the landfill, we wont try it again.

I love the Arm & Hammer Cat Litter Deodorizer (20 oz Box) because it makes my cat's litter box smell great. I like the scent, although to some people it might be a little overwhelming. I like the freshness that it leaves my cat's litter smelling. It's very easy to use, too. I just open up the box and sprinkle a small amount into the litter box. This deodorizer lasts a long time because it only takes a small amount. I usually buy a box about once a month. I really like that this product includes baking soda which is a natural ingredient. I know that baking soda is cheaper, but it does not leave a fresh scent that helps rid the smell of the cat litter. I would definitely recommend the Arm & Hammer Cat Litter Deodorizer.

I started using this Arm & Hammer Cat Litter Deoderizer a couple of years ago.  I've found it to be a little extra helper when it comes to controlling litter odor.  Whenever you change the litter, you just sprinkle a bit at the bottom of the box before pouring new litter in.  Additionally, when you scoop out the litter every few days you can sprinkle some more around on the top of the litter or mix it to help control a little more of the odor.  I'll usually sprinkle some in every couple of times I scoop out litter. It smells great and knocks down odor as soon as you use it, but it usually only helps for that day and doesn't help control odor for as long as you'd like.  Sometimes Arm & Hammer will manufacturer this product with the "20% more" added to it at the same price so you'll find it in a 24 oz box.  If you find it, I'd suggest buying a couple extra to give you a bit more for your buck over time.

Arm & Hammer Cat Litter Deodorizer Works for our two cats! I need to make clear that I do not like perfume and I cannot tolerate dust due to a lung condition. Having said that, I still find this product to be essential in our home. I have found a way to deal with the scent and dust. I sprinkle the Arm & Hammer Deodorizer just an inch above the litter, then immediately, slowly and gently rake it in. I found that if you sprinkle it from a distance high above the box, all you are doing is spreading the dust and scent all around the room, creating a hazard for those who cannot tolerate the scent or dust. The closer you get, the less mess and smell. Our extremely picky cats do not mind it in their litter and now they can do their business without complaints from the grateful humans that share their home. This has been so successful that our neighbor that often visits our home now uses it for her cat.
