I have two beautiful dogs in my home. And while I love them dearly, they are dogs, and sometimes, they smell like dogs! The thing is, I refuse to let my house smell like dogs. I prefer that if someone were to come to my home, they wouldn't even know we had dogs in the house unless they saw them. I am, as my husband says, kind of obsessive about it. BUT, my oldest dog, a 9 year old Border Collie, has allergies. I have to be very careful about what I spray or burn around him. He starts sneezing and it's just too hard on him. So, candles are out. Most air freshener sprays are out as well! But, my husband read somewhere that if you sprinkle just plain Arm & Hammer baking soda on your carpet before you vacuum, it will eliminate pet odor and not be harmful to your pets OR their allergies. IT WORKS! We vacuum EVERYDAY with it, not only for the odor, but, both of our dogs shed....A LOT. And, the house smells as fresh as....well, not dogs!
It's a cheap, safe way to keep your house smelling dog free....even if it isn't!
