Argo Tea in Chicago has many locations -- i tend to go to Armitage and Sheffield or Broadway near Belmont. I discovered Argo Tea when i was pregnant a few years ago. It was winter and i loved the coziness of huddling with a warm and toasty cup of tea. They make a drink that is cleverly called a TEApachino, which is early gray tea, mixed with steamed, frothed milk. It is unbelievable! The earl gray on its own has great flavor and wonderful smells. They brew it in a diffuser and it is very different than the earl gray one would buy bagged.
If you liked your tea iced, they have an incredible hibiscus iced tea that is herbal. It is tangy and refreshing and i buy the leaves and brew a big pot to serve it at all our parties and luncheons. It is a great option for a pregnant person who wants something that resembles a cocktail or someone who does not want the caffeine. If you like you tea sweet you can get the Tea Squeeze, which mixes the hibiscus with lemonade.
My kind husband starts my weekend out right by dashing out to fill my craving each Saturday morning before he goes for his Pilates. The sound of the key turning in the door with my drink in hand, is thrilling!
The Argo staff can be a bit salty and each encounter I pray they won't really frustrate me because I cannot go a week without my teapachino. Although, i always have my Saturday drink from my husband!
