Back in high school I had a friend who had so much hair it wasn't even funny. She could flip it over her head and look just like Cousin It from the Addams Family. She had every hair product known to woman for that huge mane of hers and I was always very envious of her Aquis Hair Towel. It was so thin and light and sucked all the excess moisture out of her hair. I loved using them when I stayed the night at her house, but at $15 each, they were far too rich for my budget. Now that I'm older and can afford such luxuries I own several of them and use them all the time.
Product Info
From bedbathandbeyond.com: These white microfiber aquitex towels are specifically designed for drying hair. Unique capillary action absorbs water quickly which means less blow drying and healthier hair. Machine washable. Super absorbent quick dry towel measures 18" x 36". Imported.
My experience
I don't have tons of Cousin It long hair but I do have a lot of hair and Aquis Hair Towels get all that hair really dry. I don't know how it works but it works great. My hair is noticably dryer than when using a regular towel. Unlike terrycloth towels, Aquis towels are really thin; somewhere between the thickness of a light sweatshirt and a heavy t-shirt. The material is slightly stretchy and the weave is tight. The 18 x 36 towel is slightly too small for my taste. Maybe I have an abnormally large head or something (although I don't think I do) but it's just a bit too small as it just fits around my head without any extra fabric for twisting and tucking underneath in the back.
Aquis Hair Towels are small and lightweight which makes them easy to travel with, take to the pool or beach, or for use as a gym towel.
