My daughter suffers from a terrible case of Eczema in the wintertime.  In the the summertime, the chlorine from the pool irritates her skin and she will start to break out in the little Eczema rashes all over.  We are constantly applying different types of medications, lotions and skin protectants on her skin to help keep the Eczema at bay and keep her comfortable.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy is the last in a long line of skin creams i have tried in an effort to the find the product that would finally heal my dry,irritated, flaky skin. This aquaphor product is an ointment with petroleum, mineral oil, and lanolin. As it is an ointment, it provides a layer of protection, holding in the moisture of your skin. The product rubs in very nicely and leaves your skin very soft and not sticky.  Aquaphor healing Ointment is best used in smaller areas, like hands, face or dry skin spots.

We tried quite a few diaper rash creams but were not having much dramatic improvement with any of them. Finally, I decided to try some Aquaphor since I had used that on several of my cancer patients at the hospital. I found Aquaphor to be more effective than many of the diaper rash creams and ointments specially formulated for babies.

What I like about Aquaphor:

• can protect and heal chapped, irritated, and (slightly) broken skin
• works quickly (clinically proven to reduce diaper rash within 6 hours according to the website, and I found that to be true) 
• fairly easy to apply
• does not burn when applied...

I was visiting my dermatologist for a completely different reason and at the very end of the visit I happened to ask if she could recommend anything for my chapped lips. I use chapstick ALL THE TIME, but in the winter my lips get really, really chapped. She recommended Aquaphor! I had never even thought about using Aquaphor on my lips- but she gave me a few samples and it is AMAZING! A friend told me his dermatologist recommended this to him for dry peeling lips.  When I had the same problem, I decided to give it a try since it worked so well for him.  Not only did it work for my lips, I use it on my hands, feet, elbows, eyebrows, and even on my face when I get really dry patches.  I use it under gloves or socks before going to bed and wake up with super soft feet and hands.  The only drawback is that I tend to have oily skin with dry patches and when I use it on my face it sometimes causes blemishes. It is also a bit heavy to use for a facial moisturizer.

I first used Aquaphor Healing Ointment on my babys' bottom for occasional diaper rash, but soon found uses all over. It is safe to use on my entire family, even my daughter who has extremely sensitive skin.  We use it on chapped lips, cheeks, hands, cracked cuticles, elbows,  feet, and legs after shaving.  It absorbs quickly and provides fast relief.  My 4yr old even asks for it anytime she has a bump or bruise.  So many uses!

i went to my dermo. for a facial and asked about cream he could recommened for my dry itchy hands. he gave me sample of aquaphor and that was the best cream i have ever tried. my mom even loves it - she uses it all the time! i suffered from dry skin and since i have been using this wonderul product my hands have never been any softer! please everyone try

I have used Aquaphor for my childs eczema and it's a very moisturizing product. However it is more like glorified vaseline to me and if you are a budget conscience person, you may want to just buy a big jar of vaseline and save money. But otherwise it's nice and for those who need a slightly heavier product for extra dry skin , this is the one.
