Delicious!

Applebee's Weight Watchers Menu is one most effective ways for me to stay on my diet and still enjoy dining out. My family loves to go out to eat and Applebee's is one of our favorite restaurants to eat at when we go out. I started a Weight Watchers program after I had my second son and had a difficult time finding entrees that fit within my Weight Watchers points. My friend suggested that I take a look at the Weight Watchers menu at Applebee's and I am very glad that I did! There are so many delicious options on this menu and the ingredients are all healthy and fresh. I love the grilled chicken on the salads. The seasoning used on the chicken give it a lot of flavor lock in the juices. I also love how the points are very clear on the menu. It is easy to figure out how many points each entree counts for and it easy to find an entree that works within my points for the day. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and options that Applebee's offers on the Weight Watchers Menu!

Okay for Applebee's

Well, first I guess we should say that I don't think Applebee's is really known as a restaurant that offers lots of healthy, freshly prepared meals. I don't work there - and never have - but from what I can tell - the majority (all?) of their foods come prepackaged, ready to be cooked at a moment's notice. Read: highly processed. So, the regular menu is no friend to those people who are concerned about eating healthy, following a certain diet, or watching fat, calories, or sodium. That being said, I do think that the Weight Watcher's portion of the menu is a nice try. I like that it gives the calorie and fat content of the meals - but that's as far as I would go. To me, I feel like the foods are just a watered down version of the regular menu items. They don't seem fresher, less processed, or really much healthier in any way. Maybe the way they are cooked is a little better, a little less oil added here, baked not fried, etc. smaller portions, but overall, I feel that is the same unhealthy fare just served in a different manner with the nutritional content offered up on the menu. I don't feel in any way that those foods are "healthy" - but in a pinch, I do agree that they are better than the regular menu selections. So - take what you can get I guess, or eat somewhere else!

Applebee's is the best!

I am constantly worried about my weight and always trying to count calories and eat healthy. I also love to eat out which can be a dieting disaster! It is extremely difficult to eat healthy foods at your typical casual restaurant. However the Applebee's weight Watchers Menu makes sticking to a diet plan a breeze! Typically I feel guilty after indulging in a meal at a restaurant, but this is not the case when I order off the weight watchers menu at Applebee's. I really appreciate the fact that Applebee's has so many great tasting meals on their weight watchers menu. The calorie count and point values are listed right on the menu which is very helpful for those of us who are on a diet. The chicken and shrimp dishes on this menu are amazing! I also love all the great salads that are on the menu at Applebee's. I always feel satisfied and full after eating from the Applebee's weight Watchers menu and I never feel deprived! I highly recommend you give these dishes a try! I am quite confident you will not be disappointed . Don't forget to try the desserts! Applebee's even has some marvelous dessert choices on their weight watchers menu.

Decent choices for meals for a night out for dinner

Eating healthy is difficult enough as it is with all the cheap junk food that surrounds us. It's even harder to eat healthy when you go out to lunch or dinner with your friends or family. Most restaurants don't cook meals that fall within what you want for calories and nutrition. Lately, more and more restaurants have a low calorie or healthy menu. Applebee's has their own Weight Watchers menu. I like Applebee's and was happy to see these options for lighter fare food. These meal options are all under 550 calories and there are some pretty decent choices that include seafood, chicken, and beef. I'm a big fan of the Roma Pepper Steak. Decent tasting food for under 550 calories, and the prices are decent as well. Although Applebee's lighter fare menu only has less than 10 choices, it is pleasing to see at least that many choices for when you want to watch your calories and try to eat somewhat healthy when out for dinner.

Applebee's menu

As a person frequently dieting and supporting the diet's of friends it is so convenient to be able to go out to one of my favorite restaurants and find items on the menu directly out of the Weight Watcher's handbook. There are sadly too few restaurants that cater to the specific needs and diet's of their consumers and I for one will usually refrain from going out to eat for those exact reasons so having Applebee's close by really helps me out especially for those nights that I am too tired to cook but yet still want to eat something that won't completely blow my diet for the week. The menu has so many yummy items on it I like that there is a reasonable amount of variety in the items and that the menu lists all the nutritional information that I need to keep track of my point counting and caloric intake. Going out to eat also helps me feel like I am not depriving myself from foods so it makes dieting easier.

Easy to follow

I love that Applebee's has came on board with Weight Watchers to offer Applebee's Weight Watchers menu. It is already hard enough trying to lose weight, but not being able to participate in family/friend outings such as going out to eat can be even harder. Choosing from the menu is simple with Applebees's new Weight Watchers menu, the only hard part is choosing which menu option to try! All options are under 550 calories, are very tasty and leave you feeling satisfied. They are all consistently priced with other menu options, so you are not paying more for the convenience of Applebee's counting your calories for you! You can chose salads, fish, chicken and even my favorite meal, Signature Sirloin with Garlic Herb Shrimp. I love the roasted potatoes and fresh steamed seasonal veggies they serve with the meal. You will not feel like you are eating a Weight Watchers meal, it is delicious and filling!

So convenient!

I have done weight watchers for years and back in the beginning, it was difficult to calculate the points of every single thing I ate when going out to restaurants. I was so happy when Applebees introduced the Weight Watchers menu. It's so convenient. I love Applebees and my husband and I eat there quite often. My favorite thing on the Weight Watchers menu is the lemon parmesan shrimp. It is delicious and doesn't taste like it would only be thirteen points in the entire dish. I also really enjoy the chicken freshcado. It is fantastic. I do not eat steak, but for red meat lovers, they have a steak option that is only thirteen points as well. I do wish that they would add even more options. I don't understand why they don't have points on their salads since this is often an option for many people who are on the Weight Watchers program. It would be nice if they would add a little more variety to this portion of the menu, but what they have now is a great start. Although it isn't ideal to eat out often, I hope that more restaurants catch on so that it will be simple to keep track of how many points you are consuming like Applebees has.

Yes. The WW menu at Applebee's is awesome. It mainly consists on delicious white meat dishes, such as chicken and shrimp, and bases its caloric load on seasonings (such as parmesan cheese) rather than on side dishes (say, fries, or loaded potatoes, etc) or method of preparation (i.e, fried vs. boiled). In that sense, it totally works. -Lemon parmesan shrimp: Main ingredients-- shrimp, rice, herbs, parmesan cheese -Creamy parm chicken: Mains- chicken breast, rice, herbs, parm cheese -Grilled jalapeño lime shrimp: Mains- shrimp, sauces, herbs, rice Works for me! Now, the real question is: what kind of eater are you? Moreover, how addicted are you to junk food? Tons of studies (search and prove me right) show that the preservatives in many pre-made foods render some people, especially those with little discipline, or dietary standards, "hooked" on eating out. This being said, if you are a junk food addict --particularly one who has decided to use restaurants' WW options as your only dietary method for keeping healthy-- keep in mind that these dishes may not be as appetizing to you. This is especially true if you are sensitive to smell and you suddenly sense something frying in the background. In those unique cases your sensitivity may be such that you will eat at Applebee's....and then you will go home and self-indulge. Hence, do not use Applebee's as your lifeline between healthy and unhealthy eating until you really learn how to eat. It is not fair to the chain, and it will not be fair to you. Who benefits from this menu? People like me, who have spent nearly 30 years figuring out what makes our bodies crave, bloat, get sick, get fat, get skinny, get old, or get healthy. After years of testing what food does to me, I can sit here and tell you (quite sanctimoniously indeed) that Applebee's WW menu, rather that being a "special" menu, should just be the staple menu. Those ridiculously indulgent meals that tip the 2,000 calorie bracket at most American restaurants are simply that: ridiculous. It wouldn't be as ridiculous if most Americans were healthy and just want to indulge every once in a while. But when you have this open to everyone 365 days a year? Houston, we have a problem. Bottom line: the menu is awesome, but make sure that you are ready to appreciate it for what it is and for what it is for. It is not a low-cal menu that will let you have that "extra candy bar" later. No. This is normal, healthy, human eating. The 2,500 fettuchini alfredo option with the wing appetizer and the cheesecake for dessert?--not so.

Applebees does this right!

When you are trying to lose weight and change the way that you eat with using the Weight Watchers program, you find going out to eat is so difficult because the foods are just awful for you and full of calories. This is one reason that I love Applebees and love that they have a Weight Watchers area on their menu! On he menu it shows right there exactly how many points the meal counts for! This makes it so easy, you do not have to figure it out on your own and you can still go out and eat something that not only tastes delicious but it is also good for you and can keep you in line and help you to be able to keep losing the weight and to keep it off. The Weight Watchers menu is not huge but it has a really good selection of foods on it so that you can find something that would make anyone happy. The food is delicious and you get a lot and it is very filling, you do not walk away feeling unsatisfied or that you are still hungry.

Back to the drawing board, Applebee's!

I've tried just about every item on the Applebee's Weight Watcher's menu...which isn't exactly hard - the selection of items is pretty small. What's worse is that the menu items are disappointing, as well. The vegetable sides are all pretty standard cafeteria fare: frozen vegetables, steamed to within an inch of their lives, loaded with salt to make up for the lack of fat on the plate. The meat options are all well portioned, but again they're pretty depressing in the quality department. The seafood menu selections are pretty clearly not fresh but frozen and reheated in what tastes like a microwave. The steak and chicken tend to be rubbery and overcooked, even on a good day. When you're on a diet and ready to indulge on a night out to eat, the last thing you want and need is sub-par fare. I'd much rather my limited diet intake include tasty, high quality, and well prepared foods. Applebee's can and should do better!
