My family is big on eating out and to me, there is nothing harder than being on a diet and sitting in a restaurant being taunted by foods you can't have.

Applebee's chain restaurant is my favorite pick while trying to lose weight because they actually have a pretty big Weight Watcher's menu with the points, calories, fat and more listed right on the menu. You know exactly what you are eating and that makes staying on your program so much easier while eating out.

They have steak, chicken, kabobs, salads, and yes...even desserts that are Weight Watcher's approved! And guess what? they don't taste half-bad either. It is a great compromise for families on the go. They are also kid-friendly, which is great because my kids can be very picky and impatient in restaurants. Just because I'm eating a low-cal salad doesn't mean they will eat that too.

Overall, I enjoy going to Applebee's, but I especially like going when I am being strict about my diet because it makes it easy to stick with my program and not feel guilty about overdoing it while eating out.

I always get their low calorie/low fat stuff. They have new shrimp kabobs that are awesome and a low fat brownie with non fat ice cream (or low fat) that rocks! It's a great choice for someone who wants to eat out but wants to stay away from all the fatty stuff in restaurants. I am glad you wrote about it.
