From what part of an animal does a riblet come?

Seriously, there is some very questionable stuff on the Applebees menu? I've never seen a riblet in any other restaurant. What is a flat-iron steak? The menu is cheap, but what are you eating? Eating at Applebees is kind of like trying to match up the pieces in the box of banquet chicken to where they came from on the chicken.

I think it tasted decently, but if you are into family style sit-down dinner you may prefer to go to Chilis or to Marie Calendars where you can more readily identify what you are eating.

WITH A LITTLE BIT OF RESEARCH YOU WOULD FIND OUT THAT THE FLAT IRON OR TOP BLADE STEAK IS CUT FROM THE SHOULDER OF THE COW. THE RIBLETS ARE THE END CUTS OF THE RIBS. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THEM AT HOME, WINCO SELLS THEM.
