Applebees - Kennett Square, PA Review

We like to eat out on occasion at the Applebees Restaurant in Kennett Square, Pa.  My husband's mother usually accompanies us along with our two children.  The staff is friendly, and service is usually good.  For a period of time the food was "hit and miss" at this location.  Sometimes overcooked, steaks fatty and tough, no consistency in portions.  In the past 6 months we have noticed a vast improvement in all of the areas mentioned.  The children's menu is good, my six year old likes the choices in sides.  Their salad menu is interesting and tasty.  The 2 for $20 menu is a great idea, offering a nice variety of choices.  I have also been there for the lunch specials.  The french onion soup is very good, and the tomato basil soup is outstanding.  The serving time is within acceptable limits for the most part, and food is served at the proper temperature.  I am glad that they worked through the difficulties they had prior.  We like the convenient location for our dining choice.  We will continue to patronize Applebees in Kennett Square, Pa.
