Call quality on the iPhone is pathetic, and it's mostly because of the tiny speaker. It has to be aligned with your ear or else the volume cuts down to nothing as the sound waves bounce uselessly around your ear shells. It drops calls, fails to connect and doesn't even ring sometimes - not for everyone, but more often than any other phone we're currently using. But this could be also due to the connectivity problem. I have heard me friends using other phones having the same complain with At&T. So that doesnt stick to iphone alone. So with no ring or vibrate to clue you in, your friends and family are redirected to voicemail... or just treated to silence. Also you dont have an option to set the timming for kkeypad lock. And the worst thing is when your keypad is locked you cannot ignore or decline a call. You can only put it to silence i.e vibrate mode. A couple of hours of Google Maps over 3G and you'll be lost in the woods without even the possibility of phoning for help. Compare that to the good old days when your phone would last a week without charging, and you'll wonder why you ever bothered to switch. But it has a good touch screen effect. The applications for iphone are designed very well which make you feel you have a mini notebook in your palm. You get addicted to use most of the applications that are compatible to iphone. Its a good choice but not he perfect choice.
