Apple iTunes —

I am so glad I tried "Itunes." You can buy and download songs, music videos and even movies and TV shows. I have not purchased movies and TV shows there, but I have bought a few music videos and a lot of songs. Even songs that are rare to find, however, there were some songs I couldn't find that I wanted to get.

At first, when I bought some music videos, I thought I could play them on my DVD player. I later learned I couldn't when I submitted a query to support. What stinks is that I would have to buy some things (expensive) to be able to view the music videos on my TV. I'm grateful though that I was given a refund for the Music videos I had bought simply because I "didn't know that". I've had a couple of excellent experiences so far with customer service so that's another plus, in my opinion.

"Itunes" is mainly the best place to buy songs because you can save so much money and here's how: before "itunes" I bought CDs that were, overall, cost me a little over a hundred dollars on one shopping trip years ago. Mostly, there would be one, sometimes two or few songs I love in one album. With "Itunes" you can purchase the songs you want. They are .99 cents each compare to a $14.99 album at a store. At "Itunes" you can also buy the whole album with one click. If you like almost all the songs of an album, it's worth buying the whole album (at "itunes" ) because it would be cheaper than purchasing each song. You just have to see for yourself to see what I mean and for you to see what's best for you. :)

I do strongly suggest you burn the songs into a CD rewritable or any CD or DVD right after you buy the songs so that you can save them (hard copy) and avoid the risk of losing them somehow. I had quite a scare once but was able to retrieve them. You can burn a back-up if you like, which is a good idea to do after each purchase.

Did I mention you don't need to own an Ipod to download the songs and listen to them? You can register with itunes on your computer (online), buy the songs, burn them to CDs, and listen to them on your car, your stereo, etc.

Another terrific fact is that you don't need to pay the songs with a credit card. You can use "itunes Gift Cards" instead. You can buy them at stores like at "Best Buy", "Target", etc. And they are available from $15 to $100. The price is printed on the card.

Last, but not least, you can browse around the song lists and hear a short sample of a song as many times as you want-- free. If you like the song and you want to buy it, you click the "Buy" button and that's it.

My personal ratings: Purchasing (on itunes):

TV Shows and movies: ?
Music Videos: 3 stars
Songs/albums: 5 stars

You're welcome! :D

Hi. Thanks for replying, Gigi. :D Yay!

Another cool thing about itunes is that you don't need to own an ipod to download the songs you buy. It downloads into your computer. You then add the song into a playlist you make and then burn into a CD.

You probably haven't read many of my reviews but I have made comments here and there about being the "one hit wonder" buyer. I tend to buy a CD for that one song I really want and then I take about 12-15 CDs and compile the songs all into one CD.

I loved your review b/c yes, I was one of those that thought if I didn't have an Ipod I couldn't get the songs. Lately on Amazon I am seeing where you can purchase songs for 99 cents for the MP3 player. Maybe I could find that Michigan Christmas as a single instead of purchasing a CD for $40.

Thanks again for an awesome review! Now I really have a better understanding of ipods and i-tunes. ~Gigi

I love Apple iTunes. This is a good way to buy just what songs you like off an album rather than buying the whole album. I enjoyed your review; great review!!!!
