I bought my three children ipod touches for Christmas this year, and I quickly became addicted to the little gadget myself.
What does it do? Well this Ipod is in the shape of the IPhone but just doesn't have the phone feature built in. It plays music and videos like the Ipod Nano, but it has a touch screen and an accelerometer which responds to movement. My favorite part about this gadget is the applications. There are many to choose from, and boy are they fun!
Out of the box, this comes with safari web browser, Calendar, email, address book, you tube, stocks, maps, wathers, videos, clock, calculator, notes, settings, music, videos and photos. And of course... itunes. If you have wifi you can conncect to the itunes store directly and download applications, or you can do it the old fashioned way and hook it to your pc. There are lots of free applications and games for those who dont wish to pay for them.
The picture on this ipod is stellar and crystal clear. The videos are great to watch on here, and in the songs mode you can even see album covers and flip through them as you would a regular cd collection.
My kids spend hours playing with their Itouches, and when they don't have them I usually do!! Definitely worth the price tag!
