Better then the 1st generation but still behind in storage.

battery life still short for youtube, wi-fi drains power when not used but on, back is scratch prone, expensive for small capacity

The iPod touch 2G 16Gb is a great media player. It has better sound quality, a better screen and adds volume controls on the side and a built in speaker to an already impressivep layer. It still uses flash momory to make it small and battery efficient but the result is that it is very expensive. Your overall decision to buy it rests on how much storage you need. If you are a real music or movie lover then you will most likely need to buy at least the 16GB at least. And at 300 dollars its not the greatest value when for 250 you could get the 120GB classic. However, you get alot more then just a music player when you buy it. It also has a full safari browser and touch controls. It also has the best screen on any ipod. It might not be as clear as the nanos but it is much bigger. When you factor in the wi-fi access and all the other features it really is worth the price but it might just be worth waiting for version 3 to come out which could have a 64GB version if Apple loves us enough.
