Okay, I am a LATE adopter.  I waited, I waited and then I waited some more to crawl into the 21st century.  But I must say to my other Luddites, take the leap.  I had a collection of nearly 1500 cds....er....pre-divorce.   I have loved loading this collection onto my iPod and rediscovering music I rarely listened to.  I have been able to sell my collection back to a local used "record" store and recoup the price of the iPod, the price of a 250 GB back up drive, the price of my iPod charger AND the price of an inexpensive iPod docking station (not from Apple).

I love making Playlists for the gym.  I loved making a playlist for my parents 60th wedding anniversary as music to play in the background of the songs most important to them.

Note:  I have not purchased a single song from iTunes or downloaded one song from LymeWire.  I only upload cds because I am content with my collection at the present.  If you borrow cds from friends, neighbors, libraries,..... I "guess" you could upload those too!

I don't have video on my iPod.  Screen is too small, and what's the point.  So I will have many years to fill up the 160 GB without having to resort to cleaning out my iTunes account of duplicates, songs I don't care for, etc.

Really, skip the other brands.  Just get the iPod.

I_thumb_up Apple iPod classic Black (160GB, PC/MAC - MB150LL/A) (160 GB, 40000 Songs) Digital Media Player is recommended by Pluto
