Apple - iPod Video White (30 GB) Media Player Review

This 30 gig ipod, as previously mentioned, is pretty great. The screen is clear, bright, and great. The battery life is really good (best if you turn down the screen’s brightness). The one complaint I have about Apple products is that they seem to manufacture the most scratch-able surfaces in the world. The mirrored backside – ugh. It’s nice for a while, but then I got so nuts about it. You feel compelled to purchased cases and covers and the like to keep the surfaces nice and shiny – scratches build up and can make the back mirrored casing almost opaque. Slowly, but surely, this will bother you (weeellll ~ Ok, maybe this is just me). But other than that, 30 gigs is a pretty great – fits about six thousand songs on my ipod (and a few videos to boot!).

The sound quality it provides is pretty fantastic and really, my only other critiques are that the time at the top of the screen changes to the playlist when you touch the clickwheel, which I find kind of annoying, because it seems pointless to me. I want to see the time, but unless my screen lights up, it’s too dark and when it does light up, it displays information that I don’t want…

But it has this great alarm function which lets me wake up to my music!
