Such a good music and video player that you take it for granted right from the start. Very useful for travel of all types. Makes a lower scale hotel room more entertaining too, when the choices are limited. I travel by car and commute so I use my iPod all the time. I also like the iTunes method of buying...

I like it but I don't.  You have to pay 99 cents for one damn song.  And, you can only download music through iTunes, like Apple needs any more money. iOIj. For the cost this Ipod is worth it!  Around 2 and sometimes less if you shop around.  10,000 songs and videos etc can be stored on this unit.  The sound, is unreal when you hook up speakers!

Its really just like having your own DJ/surround sound in the palm of your hand! 

This is really an excellent xmas gift or anytime gift!  Very useful and versitle!

I love my ipod. Have had it now for less than six months. My husband had one first and I was not that interested in them until I borrowed his car one day and he left the ipod in there. It was great, don't have to listen to the radio (most stations suck anyways in these parts), no commercials, no changing CDs while driving down the road. I just make my own playlists, usually about 100 songs each, then put them on shuffle and go.  I hardly have the TV on as background noise anymore when I'm at home, just the ipod. Also, was able to download movies from a friends pc and watch them on a flight over... review »

This is the best thing I ever bought.Decisions, decisions. Who needs 'em? Why should you have to choose what to put on your iPod? With up to 160GB of storage, iPod classic lets you carry everything in your collection - up to 40,000 songs or up to 200 hours of video - everywhere you go. In a completely new, even thinner, all-metal design, this iPod is a modern classic. Cant wait to get my hands on the new iPhone.

 I purchased the new Apple iPod Classic 80GB when it was only a few weeks old. At first I was very impressed with the new look of the face (matte instead of shiny). Unfortunately, the new look hasn't done anything to keep the screen from being as easy to scratch as ever. The mirror finish on the back is also easily damaged by simple things like putting it in your pocket. This has caused me to have to purchase a somewhat expensive ($10) plastic case to put it in.

 The music playback is good, with better quality than before. It still doesn't get as loud as I would like, but it's loud enough for...

 Apple IPOD Black Face

Over the years I tried to get all my favorite music into something manageable.  The old vinyl records take a lot of space and had a lot of problems.  Then the cassette tapes would melt in the heat of the car.    And then CD's arrived, great sound and a lot of space to record many songs on it.  The CD's made managing my music easy. The problem was having to change the CD's.

Then I got an Apple IPOD that allowed me to put thousand of songs on it.  I downloaded over 2,000 songs and still have space.  The IPOD program is simple to use and manage.

This is the best ipod in market right now. There is no competitor for apple ipods in the market. many products have been launched by many companies in this category but nothing comes up any where near to this product by apple. Also, being a 80 GB capacity IPOD it is very slick in its class. Also, it has a good video quality.

I have tried the earlier generation IPOD's, and this is my favorite by far! I can take it anywhere, and listen to my music or watch movies and television shows. The video is clear, not grainy, and easy on my eyes. The sound is similar to surround sound, I can hear every beat! The IPOD Classic keeps me in tune with the latest trends in all types of music and media. I can carry it in my pocket, or backpack, and it is very convenient. The screen size is generous, and the volume reaches an excellent maximum. I am thrilled with my choice, and couldn't ask for a better MP3 Player!

Very cool product! I'm late in entering the world of iPod so I finally spent the money and got one; the only thing I wish is that it had a larger screen to view videos. Other than that, I don't regret buying it. It's cheaper than burning my music to CDs. I also bought a radio adapter as well and can listen to my tunes through my car radio with my iPod. can also watch videos, view my photos from my digital camera, and listen to my audiobooks that I downloaded from audible.com...

There's just nothing that compares to having the availability of all that music and video at any time.  This thing totally rocks!  Now that I have a hook up in my car, I take it with me everywhere.  I originally bought it thinking it would be handy during plane trips that I frequently take, but since I've bought it, I've used it more at home and in the car than anywhere else.  I even have speakers in the garage so I can listen to it when I'm out there!

This and the 160GB ipods are for people with A LOT of music (like me), or that like to download videos. I can't live without my ipod and love to put it on shuffle so I never know what will play next. If you don't have the much music a lesser gig ipod might be better for you. This also beats out an ipod shuffle since it has a screen to see what is playing. I've even used the alarm on the ipod hooked up to my "ihome" to wake up to music.

This is the best iPod made. It may not have all the new fangled features of the newer iPod, but it works great. I put mine in a case and it looks brand new to this day. I drop it weekly and I have had it for two years. NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER!

It holds all my music. I don't see why people need such large ipods unless they have lossless music. I can't tell the difference between lossless and mp3 at 192 kbps, so I'm fine.

I bought my  IPOD  becasue i  do alote of traveling on my motorcycle and i like to listen to music when i travel . the ipod worked great for about a hr and  then it just died  and for  what i paid for it i would have expected it to last long then a week  no water or dust ever got into it  So i took it back and never bought  one again

The ipod 80 gig classic holds more than enough songs, for any music lover, and is great to hold your pictures, videos, podcasts, movies, t.v shows, etc...    The quality of the pictures and video is great!!!   seems better or just as good as high definition qaulity.   i recommend this product to anyone that is into music....
