Apple iPod Video 80 GB White (MA450LLA/K3) Digital Media Player Review

 I purchased the new Apple iPod Classic 80GB when it was only a few weeks old. At first I was very impressed with the new look of the face (matte instead of shiny). Unfortunately, the new look hasn't done anything to keep the screen from being as easy to scratch as ever. The mirror finish on the back is also easily damaged by simple things like putting it in your pocket. This has caused me to have to purchase a somewhat expensive ($10) plastic case to put it in.

 The music playback is good, with better quality than before. It still doesn't get as loud as I would like, but it's loud enough for normal human beings. The little earphones that some with it are easily blown out unless the "bass reducer" equalizer setting is utilized. There has been an occaisonal problem with the iPod pausing for no reason at random intervals, and then working fine.

 Screen brightness is impressive and adjustable to make the screen readable just about anywhere.

 Overall I have been satisfied with this product. My only real complaint is how easily it scratches.
