Yes it's a little expensive, and if all you want is a good mp3 player, it' probably not what I'd recommend. But, if you think you might want an iPod Touch, get one. You won't regret it. The "wow" factor is pretty darn high. It's thin, really thin. It's absolutely gorgeous in it's simplicity. The touch screen works great, movies look great on the giant screen. The wireless 802.11g is fast and it just plain works. Email works great with just about any email service you might use. I'd recommend the 16gb over the 8gb, simply because if you plan on putting movies or tv shows on it, you will find that you start running low on space quickly. If you get the chance to play with one in person, do it. That's what finally sold me. Oh, one last thing. Get a case and a screen protector...or at least just the case. The screen is surprisingly durable...the pretty, shiny back not so much.
