Apple - iPod Touch — 

Love it. Exactly what I wanted, the iphone without the phone or associated monthly fees. I have a cell phone from work and don't need another and can't justify the monthly expense. But I wanted the iphone as a gadget geek.

Out of the box, the features are crippled by design. Why not the same apps as the iphone -- google maps, etc? Well with a simple hack you can get all the iphone apps plus im, rss, and everything else the iphone currently doesnt have that it should. Definitely recommended, especially if you plan to jailbreak it.
