Most HelpfulI LOVE the idea of this-for kids. For myself I'd prefer something with a screen and the ability to choose a playlist or specific artist or genre. Otherwise it's a great little IPOD.
If you've got a real music lover I'd say spend the extra money on the nano or an IPOD with a screen. I love the...
read full review »I bought this ipod shuffle for my wife as a valentine's gift (in hot pink, no less). Needless to say she loved the form size and color, and the fact that it fits in even the smallest of her purses when not being listenend to.
The device sets up much like the regular ipod and integrates perfectly with iTunes, as you would expect. What I was not expecting, however, was the great sound that could come out of such a small device. To me, you really can't tell the difference between the shuffle and the regular ipod.
The only downside is that the unit feels a bit fragile (although what do you expect...
read full review »I love my IPOD shuffle because it is a perfect fit for what I need an MP3 player for. I use it when I workout, layout, or when I need a little distraction from other noises going on in the room. Its so small and convenient that I can keep it in my purse at all times and pull it out when I need it. I have a constant playlist on my Itunes that I keep adding to and randomly fill my shuffle each time I charge it so that I get a different selection of music all the time. It was a gift, so I cant comment positively/negatively on the price...but they are definitely affordable for anyone looking to buy...
read full review »So I've been using my ipod shuffle for long enough that I feel like I can write a pretty darn good review of it. Let me start by simply saying that while I love new technology and always want the newest gadgets available, I somehow live by the quote "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." This can cause some problems...
Before I got the ipod shuffle I had the first generation ipod. I used that thing until one day it died a horrible death and needed to be replaced (should have been loooong ago..). Then I moved to Chicago last year and opened up a Chase bank account and they gave me a free ipod...
read full review »I love the Ipod shuffle (2gb) it hold just enough for me and the battery last for 5-6 hours. I got it not long ago and have used for several reason the music and blocking out other people talking. I use it on long flights and the battery last very long. The only problem with this is there is no it screen but I deal with it. I really advise people to get this because there is no worry about getting the screen cracked.
I wanted a cheap(ish) throw-away mp3 player that I wouldn't be devastated if I lost it or it got damaged. The iPod shuffle seemed a good fit.
I'm very happy about three specific aspects of the iPod
First is the sound quality. It was so much better than what I was hearing from my old mp3 player. Even with the supposedly cheap earphones that come with it, it sounded better than my other player with the expensive headphones.
The second thing I really love is the charge. I routinely get 8 to 10 hours of listening before recharging is necessary. That is great for those long commutes to...

I plug the iPod Shuffle into my car system and I don't have to change cd's while I am driving. Of course, you have to have a cassette player and adapter in your car to do this.
I have recently discovered podcasts on iTunes. I have been re-learning Spanish, learning about the our Solor System and American History for the past three weeks. I also listen to popular NPR programs, such as This American Life. Pod Casts are free! I...
read full review »I received this as a gift, after my Ipod mini was stolen. One great thing about this electronic device, is it does not stand out - I mean it doesn't catch a thief's eye as easily as a regular Ipod with a screen. I keep it on my keychain and hook it up in my car as well. I can play 240 songs, which is sufficient for me because I never listen to more than that in one day anyway, so there's just enough variety of music. I'll add a few new ones and remove some songs I'm bored with as I go. The shuffle doesn't take very long to charge but it also does not last more than a week, I'd say, before needing...
read full review »i am doing a review on the second generation silver ipod shuffle. i actually just got this as a gift. i have an ipod nano, and i was just wondering what the difference was between the nano and the shuffle is. really there is no difference, except, you cant see what song is playing, and on this shuffle, the music is just continious. i gave this one to a friend of mine though, and he truely loves it. you can have up to 2000 songs on it, and the colors are even cool to. with 1Gb you really cant go wrong with this little thing. it is a very compact mp3 player. you can clip it onto...

Everyone? Where are the everyones in my social circle that can afford to spend $140 on 3 kids when Wal-Mart has something that looks similar to me for 39.95?
This argument went on in our household for almost a year. Apparently, someone working for ipod heard my children's whines from across the country and made the affordable shuffle. Sams had them for $40 this past spring. Now, each child has his or her own color. (I highly recommend the color coding for as many of your children's products as you can manage. You will thank me when they are...
