Apple - iPod Nano 3rd Generation Media Player —

The I-Pod Nano 4gb was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 16 year old son. Talk about a happy kid Christmas morning. I did research all of the mp3 players in the same price range and cheaper but kept coming up on  reviews that indicated a lot of crashing. I eventually came back to Apple's I Pod because of the reputation of their name. I chose the 4gb Nano for the price. $149 at Wal-mart. I had no idea what these little things did. I was under the impression they were the new millineum's equivalent to the walkman of my day. The walkman doesn't even come close. The IPOD plays music, stores photos, plays tv shows, movies, audiobooks, podcasts, has an alarm, calendar, contacts, games. I was truly amazed with it. I am even thinking of purchasing one for myself to listen to audiobooks while in the car, waiting for appointments, ect. The only con I could find was the fact that is was difficult to operate initially. A small "get started" guide was included but only told how to connect to the computer. Once I found the online tutorials, it was smooth sailing. I would definitely recommend this for anyone, esp for a teenager who is getting difficult to buy for. The only regret I have is not knowing more about it....I would have spent the extra $50 for the 8gb had I known exactly what I was purchasing. Nonetheless, I have a very happy son and am quite pleased with the NANO so far.
